Ice forms on the lower
The drain from the freezer is at the base of the evaporator section.
This is behind a plastic cover at the back inside, which must be removed to see it.
There should be screws visible, or clips which must be removed first. Often these are covered with plastic covers too.
Use a mould-killer spray, and a length of PVC covered wire to clear it.

Drain freezes and bottom ices up ii have thawed
My be that the unit is not defrosting. There is a timer that turns off the freezer and turns on a heating element to melt the ice in the cooling fins. If this does not happen the fins fill with ice and ice begins to form as the water drips down under the ice. the bottom will freeze and the top will begin to warm.

We left the freezer door open accidently for 10
Hi, Check the rear panel inside the freezer and see if it has frost building up on it. If so, shut the refrigerator off for 24 hours or remove the rear panel and defrost it with a hair dryer.
It should be ok after that ubless the evaporator fan motor has gone bad.
Please let me know if this helps or if I can assist you further.

Technition called it freon noise
Sounds really strange to me. Not sure what kind of patch he could have used. I've never heard of "freon noise". Clicking and popping could be the thermal overload tripping and resetting. The unit should still be under warranty. I would contact them to get another tech and another opinion. It would be best to get this resolved before the warranty wears out.

How to repair upright maytag freeezer, water fozen at the bottom.mqf1656tew02
There are only a few scenarios where the water is coming from to freeze there.
Condensation from putting food in there which is warm, especially anything not wrapped or bagged.
Defrost water drain blocked. Look for a channel at the back or within the blower unit.
Badly fitting, split or worn out door seal. This lets warm moist air from the room into the cabinet which then freezes.
Excessive frost build up reducing efficient circulation of air, or overloading.
Finally, kids spilling water!

Refridgarator is not cooling
thermostats are usually a "on/off" switch just as a simple light switch. Ohms on a defrost timer is not very specific. It is basically a switch that turns heaters on and off while keeping the compressor off during the defrost cycle. Your thermostat may be sticking/hanging up.

ICE BUILD UP IN A MAYTAG MODEL MZF34X16DW UPRIGHT FREEZER
I have had a few of these, and others of the same ilk.
Your problem should be air leakage into the machine.
Take a thicker piece of paper, not cardboard, and try to slide it around the gasket where the door gasket contacts the front of the freezer.
The gasket should be firm enough to prevent the paper from sliding. Wherever you can move the paper, you could have a air leak.
Most of these have no adjustment in the latch to tighten the door. Sometimes a new gasket will solve the problem, sometime a new door will.
P.S. Twice I have tied a new freezer to a refrigerator dolly to move it and have accidentally warped the door, and they cannot be straightened. :-(
God bless your efforts.

Refrigerator not dispensing water or ice
repairs should be performed by a qualified technician. if there isn't ice in the ice bucket located in the freezer you have a water flow problem. if there is water going to the filter and nothing out of the freezer then you have a clogged freezer replace it. if these things are ok then yes it could be the electronic control. filter failure is a common problem.
