I have a maytag MGR4452bdw
first thing to check is the ignitor, remove the racks and remove the bottom inside floor,if anything else is there remove it so you can see the ignitor, set the oven to 350,if the ignitor glows but doesn.t ignite the flame in 40 seconds change out the ignitor, the reason why i say this is if the sensor or anything else would bring up an error code.hope this helps.

I have a Maytag gas range model MGR4452BDW. The
I repaired it myself. I took it apart and re-enforced the plastic with a strip of metal (where the screws are). It works fine now. Nothing wrong with the circuit board just the poor design. You have to push on the control pad for the oven to function and when the plastic breaks the panel falls in on itself. Plastic with metal screws and NO support behind the panel. A new circuit board costs at least $150 + tax + service call + labor. It probably would be better to buy a new range and all because of the poor design!!!

Code F1
Hello,
The F1 error code means that the computer thinks a button on the touchpad is stuck. Sometimes this can be resolved by making sure the touchpad connector fits tight into the control board. The F1 code can be cleared by pushing CANCEL/OFF. If it returns the touchpad needs to be replaced

I have a black Maytag
Hi
This means a
loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is
bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it
should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the
door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and
should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.
