Or is the top elements are on and it flips the breaker when you turn the oven on, the element has blown and is shorting to earth. Shut off at the stove. It may need a new control board. Hello, have you tried to unplug the stove or turn off the breaker to the unit? Try off for 15 sec. then turn back on. If you have done this the you may need to replace the board for the stove, or may need to replace stove which ever is most cost effective. Hope this helps.

Your cooker may have an circuit breaker that has tripped, check the fuse box first.

The puff sound you hear is the "Ignition" its normal, all stove is like that if you not hear it the oven will not work.
