Asko W6021 Front Load Washer Questions & Answers
Asko 10505 - wash finished, door won't open
it is most likely your machine may have a draining problem. if it cant drain the water out the door wont open.
if you open the small door at the front bottom of the machine you will find the little black drain hose. unplug the hose off the door and drain machine. when the machine is empty try powering on and opening the door.
if still no luck you will see (in the same location) a red pull ring. undo the screw holding the ring in position and gently pull until the door releases.
it would be worth undoing the button trap lid to access the pump and check for any blockages (most common coins **** pins etc)
let me know how you get on.
Clothes not clean after washing
Were the settings appropriate for the clothing?
The settings on the machine should be set properly for the load. Different fabric types require different wash/rinse temperatures, spin speeds, and wash times. Always follow the instructions printed on the fabric care label. The soil level needs to be set in accordance with the load type. Heavily soiled clothing will not come clean with a light soil level setting.
Was the proper detergent used?
If too much detergent is used, or non-HE detergent is used, the machine will not wash properly. Too many suds present during a wash decreases tumbling action and will not rinse out well. Furthermore, detergent residue built up in the machine over time will deposit extra detergent on clothes and deposit soil back into clothing.
Was the washer overloaded?
If the machine is overloaded, the machine will not wash and rinse properly. When the washer is overloaded, the clothes have no room to tumble, and the cleaning performance of the washer is reduced. In addition, when the clothes are packed tightly inside the drum the detergent and water will not distribute evenly throughout the items.
Front loaders require regular maintenance to ensure optimum performance. If this maintenance is not followed, residue can accumulate in the drum resulting in detergent and soil being deposited back into clothing. This can also lead to odor and other issues. Perform the required maintenance regularly (once or twice a month).
Door is stuck.
as we don't know what the lid or plug mean got to the nearest washing machine repair person and explain to him and get an answerer as from him as we cant see your predicament with our own eyes, sorry to put it blunt but that's the only answerer eric
Front drain plug
I have similar issues with my Asko W660. Once it was a key stuck between the inlet to the pin trap and the trap itself. I got it out by jiggling and poking into the trap area with a narrow strip of plastic. Mostly, though, it just requires a stronger grip on the door to the pin trap--the little handle is slippery, and hard to get a good grip on. Try making a grip out of a piece of duct tape, or grabbing the handle with pliers.
How long should wash cycles be? mine have gotten longer
Not an UNCOMMON complaint Rosemary Stein,
On the new machines "suds-sensors" control the "efficiency" of your machine...
If you check you OWNERS MANUAL I'm pretty sure
You need to run good grade "HE" detergent...
The reason being the "suds-sensors" will get messed up with BARGAIN detergents & become MORE IN-EFFICIENT.
Contemporary wisdom says "If you stop now and run some cleaner in your machine you can avoid costly serve charges".
Hope this helps!
Cycle takes forever and water not heating
FIRST OFF CHECK WITH A MULTI MTER FOR CONTINUITY. THE WATER TEMPERATURE CONTROL SWITCH, THE INLET VALVE, AND UR SO CALLED ELEMENT WHICH I FIND ODD AS HAVENT SEEN A WASHING MACHINE WITH A HEATING ELEMENT B4.
