XM Radio
My XM just recently started to cut out in certain locations that had no problem before. It seems to be getting a good signal the screen display does not cut out. I lose volume and get static just in certain spots. Anyone know where I should start looking for a fix.
It won't turn on. Does anyone repair them? I
There's a few people on eBay that repair sirius radios in general. The only real way to save your lifetime sub is to take your XM Radio ID chip (containing the lifetime sub info), and place it in a new radio. You'd probably also need to find a working radio if you'd like that repair done (which isn't nearly as easy as I made it sound).
Hello - I've had my
Hi Kathy,
It sounds like its the antenna, although it could be the docking station itself, or even the receiver. The best way to narrow it down is by testing against other equipment (if you happen to have other docking stations and or antennas) If it produces the same result you know its the radio. If you swap antennas and it works, obviously the antenna; and the same goes for the docking station. You can find replacements at tss-radio.com.

Hello,
there is no reset button of fuse in your radio receiver. instead, the radio has a power board. The power board must have been defective, that's why it not powering on.
A capacitor, diode or other components on the power board may be bad. This can cause the radio not to power up.
Get a meter, open the radio and read the power board in order to detect the bad component and make necessary replacement. This is the only way by which your radio receiver can power on again.
I hope this makes sense to you.
Good luck.
Installation
Go to the XM Radio DOT com website for directions. Basically you just need to mount the antenna on metal, rought the Antenna wire to the Mobile/Vehicle adapter base; plug the cigarrette / power plug in and lug the other end into vehicle adapter base. Go to MENU and pick your blank FM frequency for the radio to tranmit on That's all it takes!
