Durabrand DUR7 Portable DVD Player - Page 3 Questions & Answers
Where can i get a charger for my dvd player at
You get a universal type that fits the model , what is needed is to check the polarity and the voltage/current ratio.
If youtake the set along to the electroncis spares store , the stores technician will assist to suit the polarity in the chosen model. zIt can be tested to confirm.

Hi,
It just seems that your player has a dirty optical lens and that wjy it cannot read the disc that you loaded., Better try to use a optical disc cleaner and try to clean the player lens.
Hope this helps

DUR-7 charging problem
Are you sure it is not the charger itself at fault here?
If you have or know someone with a multimeter get them to check if any voltage is present on the charger plug of the cord. Batteries do not suddenly stop they usually give less and less time in uptime mode before they finally stop altogether. I would suspect the charger or charging circuit.yes it can be fixed
Please rate my help++++Thanks for using FIXYA
Screen say : no dish
the unit will say "no disk" if it is unable to read your disk ... that is often caused by dust or debree on the laser or the laser could be damaged ... the laser is the little lens that you see when the lid is open ... you can clean that with a soft tissue and some eye glass cleaner ..dont spray directly on the laser .. spray only on the tissue . very gently clean and dry the laser ... its mounted on a flexible mechanism so you have to be careful not to stress it ... also clean your disk . if the laser cleaning doesnt help then it may be damaged or worn out .. make sure the laser wiggles freely as if it was on a spring ... make sure the disk is actually turning .. you can listen for it to spin up .. ...
MY SCREEN COMES
This happens due to NO SIGNAL being played, this is due to either a fault, or the External input being selected, and NOT the internal one. Check this. It seems as though there must be something common to both, as both units it is unlikely to be the same fault. You need to check with a Know Good, DVD. on both units. Check all settings etc. you need to consult your manual to check for any incorrect setting or switches wrong. It well maybe that they are both faulty, as this IS exactly what they do when they Fault. Thats for sure. If you can select and feed an External input into them, try that to see if they actually display something, If they do not using this either, then i would think, that they are indeed faulty.

I need new cords to charge it. It will not charge
You need to take a look at the charger and see what voltage and amperage they are. Then check Ebay for a charger with the same specs. You can also take it to Radio Shack and they should be able to find one for you. Good luck!
The wire that connects the DVD player to the wall
Check out eBay, or Radio Shack, or the like... for a "Real" one, you can often get "universal" ones, As long as the Voltage and Current are the same. It will be OK, Sometimes you can get the PSU OK, but the end, is not the same as a tip... you can "Graft" on the "Old" end onto the "new" one..pretty simple,as the inner wire is Plus Positive, the outer or shield is negative.
Where can I find a replacement remote control?
If you have the old transmitter look for any kind of numbers on the back or inside the battery lid, then go to the partstore.com web site type it in the part number window, see if something comes up(best you can do without a model no.)good luck.
