The new 20lb LPG cylinders now have what called an OPD Valve. Reconnect to a 20lb cylinder and turn the tank valve on very very slowly, This will help prevent the OPD Valve from locking up the heater's regulator. Your 1lb cylinder is not required to have this OPD Valve.

By the way, this happens quite frequently with LP Gas Portable Grills.

How about the thermocouplin have you tested that?

The solution is to contact Mr. Heater tech support. Once I made contact with them they took my complain very seriously and wanted immediately to inspect my unit. They issued a FedEx Pickup request to take my unit back to Ohio. They're sending me a replacement unit which they promised to test before send it it me.

I have a heatalator gas fireplace and the pilot light goes out after 2 to 3 day

I have the "Big Buddy" heater and the switch is on top, if it is clicked down toward the front of the heater, the fan is on (little yellow dot), pushed back, the blower is off.

I had the same peoblem you 1.remove the 6 screws 3 on eacb side 2.remove back panel 3.remove the tip over switch attached to bottem right looks like a black plugin4.hook the 2 wires that was connecting saftey swith togetber and tape them together with electrical tape (making sure they are touching obviously)5. Reassamble and your good to go no more constant relighting

would try to replace the thermocoupler for the pilot light and this should cure the problem.

pressure is usually the culprit with that or propane oil in the pilot line
