How do I disconnect the washing machine?

the pipes are connected to the water pipes there should be a red one and and blue one. or the taps on the pipes are sometimes coloured. turn the taps so that they are not running level with the pipe. or the other way than they are now. they will stop at the right point. unscrew the hoses at the pipe end white plastic ridged screw caps you might need a gripping spanner. make sure as you take each one off you do not loose the washers inside there. black rubber things, the drain should just lift out but have a bucket ready because when you put the pipe on the floor lots of water will come out of the pipe. hope that helps. liz

Refrigerator not cooling. freezer works fine.

Try taking the front cover off at the bottom and or the back of the fridge and try vaccuuming underneath.  Make sure you unplug in when you do this.  Then plug it back in and see if that solved the problem.  You have fins and coils underneath that if they get really dirty the fridge will not work properly.  Hope this helps

Whirlpool estate washer will not spin

In the front of the machine below the door you have a panel. There are 3 torx screws holding it from under. Unscrew and pull panel down and then towards you. You will see the pump assembly right in the center with big black hoses.

You need a pair of pliers and a shop-vac if you have one, or towels and a bucket. Use the pliers to unscrew the pump filter, it is white in colour. When you unscrew this water will start to leak out; use towels or shop-vac to mop up. Do this till all water is mopped. Remove the drain trap completely, you will find much junk; clean out completely and refit carefully, in reverse order.

You can rate me……the above is for a similar(?) whirlpool.

Where is the fabric dispenser

Whirlpool will put their fabric softener dispensers in one of 2 places. Either in the top of the agitator there will be a cup or in one of the front right hand corners (far less often). If you do not have either of these options, likely, it a model that did not come with one (not uncommon at all)

Dryer not drying clothes very well

Is the dryer getting hot? Is the airflow coming out of the exhaust strong? If the airflow is good, but not hot, the problem is most likely a thermal limit sensor.(These sensors determine the air temperature, and cycle the heat source) If the airflow is not forceful, but the vent hose, exhaust vent, and lint trap are clear, then the blower/fan may be encrusted with lint, or broken. The sensors and blower can be difficult to get to, for cleaning or replacement, but possible. It depends on your skill level. Remember to always disconnect the power when attempting a repair on any electrical device!

Dryer not drying clothes

An easy way to check dryer function is to check the airflow on the outside of your home at the exhaust the vent. While the dryer is running, and hot, put your hand near the outlet. The air coming out should be hot and forceful. If not, there is most likely an obstruction, and the whole airway should be cleaned. Keeping the airway clean and clear can dry clothes faster and save you money.

Another possibility is the blower,(fan) which can become encrusted with lint, preventing it from moving air. This is much less likely, but still a possibility.

Dryer not drying clothes

Make sure that the flex hose going out from the dryer is not blocked. You should check it from both the back of the dryer and all the way to wear it vents outside. It could also be the thermostat, which is cheaper to replace than buying a new dryer.

The cold water does not completely stop running.

You have sand in your water valve. there is no way to clean it out. Just replace the whole and you will be fixed up. the part is under 30 dollars.

Won't go into spin cycle

this model doesnt have an actuator to "push" so you can open the lid and watch it operate correct?? well when you lift and close the lid can you here the "clicking" of a lid switch???? if you cant theres you issue, it doesnt recognize thedoor is down so for safety reason it will not operate.
in order to fix this if indeed this is you problem youll need to bend the hinge armature of the left side lid slightly toward the back of machine so that when closing iot willswing up a bit higher and actuate the switch in the back left corner of machine
