Extremely loud during spin cycles
Hi,
Before pitching it take the front bottom cover off and check the shock absorbers that hold the tub. My guess is that they have broken and this allows the tub to bang around on the spin cycle.
The shock are not that hard to replace and are realtivly inexspensive online.
If they are bad you can find replacements by doing a search for "appliance parts" and then entering your model number to get to a parts list for your unit.
Check a number of different sites as the prices can vary greatly for the same part.
I hope that this will help you to solve your problem!
Thanks for using Fixya!!

Help with drawer for fabric softener
Take out the drawer and clean the compartment and pipe at the end of the drawer with hot soapy water - washing up liquid works well. Clean all around it. Use a pipe cleaner, cotton buds or piece of coiled curtain wire to ensure that the U shaped pipe is clear of obstruction. Pull it back and forward to dislodge any accumulated fabric conditioner. To show this is working OK, put it in the sink and fill up the compartment with water until it is overflowing then stop. The water should drain out of the compartment on its own.
Next, where the drawer fits in the machine clean the water exit above the drawer with a washing up brush. This can appear brown or white depending on your water type. If this is OK then try running the machine. If there is still a problem, remove the drawer again and turn off the power at the mains. Use something like a paper clip to poke all the holes in the water dispenser area above the drawer. There are lots of them so some patience might be required. If you live in a hard water area it could be blocked with limescale in which case an application of a descaling mousse or spray will assist. Once complete, make sure you rinse the drawer area, drawer and put the drawer back in and run the machine on a short cold fill wash cycle. Put some fab con in the drawer to test that the machine drains it correctly. A good idea is to slightly water down fab con concentrate as it will eventually clog up the dispenser. If all is well then there will be no fab con left. If it is still there then you will need to get into the water dispensing area to see what is wrong. Occasionally the mechanism can get jammed, lose a spring or just get broken, in which case it will need replacing.
Clothes are dirtier after washing...
go to your local appliance store and ask for "Affresh" washer cleaner. works excellent. If hubby need to get into the machine have hime clean out the pump. You probably have **** in there thats also contributing to the problem. good luck
The water will not drain out of the washer
Check these out:
- If your washer spins but does not pump the water out,
the drain line is probably clogged. In many washers a small sock or
other piece of clothing can get between the clothes tub and the outer
tub that holds the water. If the clothing gets between the tubs, it may
then get into the drain hose that is attached to the pump or even into
the pump itself. It it's in the pump, you need to remove the hoses from
the pump and pull the item out.
- To remove the item from the outer tub port, open the
washer's main access panel and remove the large diameter rubber hose
that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Using a
needle-nose pliers, try to grab and remove the stuck item through the
port.
- Check your washer for a frozen pulley. Remove the pump
from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't
turn freely, it's frozen, replace it.
- If the water that pumps out of the machine goes back
after the spin cycle, your washer is siphoning the water from a laundry
tub that has a slow drain back into the washer. The usual remedy for
this is to improve the draining of the laundry tub.
- Also check for these problems:
- If the drain hose reaches more than 4 inches into the laundry tub, cut the excess.
- If your drain hose is lower than the washer's cabinet, install an air gap/siphon break assembly.
Washing machine fills up and starts the wash cycle
F05 error code means heating circuit failure. The water temperature sensor is not working. It might be just disconnected or unplugged due to vibrations over time.Unplug the washer and open the housing. The sensor is located at the base of the wash tub in front of the heating element. It is square -shaped connected between the heating element terminals.Clean the terminal leads before reinserting.
If the sensor is well connected between the heating elements and the washer still not work, disconnect the heating elements and check the resistance. The resistance reading should be at around 9K ohms at room temperature, else replace.
The washer won't start a cycle
Hello, The trouble here is going to be one of two problems, either the pump drain is blocked or the pump is bad, the water is not draining off and the sensor is telling the
computer there is still water in the machine. If you are confident you can repair this yourself locate the pump some where in the bottom of your washer, usually there is access panel in front bottom. once you have located the pump there should be an access to the pump filter..pull it off clear it out and try a new wash..bear in mind 2 things..turn power off to washer and when opening the filter water will come out..either tilt machine and put pan underneath or have a few old towles handy. You should be good to go...if this does not solve your problem replace the pump. I'm pretty sure cleaning the pump filter out will solve your problem though...Hope this helps...if you have an other questions or concerns please feel free to comment again. Good Luck!
The washing machine has a very bad musty smell.
The drain plug needs to be cleaned before it burns up your pump. There should be an access panel at the bottom that you have to remove the screws from and drop the panel down and then you should find a cap that you twist and pull that is the filter. Make sure you have something underneath it to catch the water or you will have a mess.Good Luck
