Slightly off frequency is it possible to correct
I assume it is digital tuning? If it is digital tuning the answer is no.Sometimes reception is better when you purposely mis-tune by one digit lower or higher than the stations call numbers. If it is under warranty, try exchanging it or just listen to and compare another one or more of the same model to hear if they are all slightly off frequency.

No sound from speaker but through ear piece I get
Many devices will automatically switch off the large speaker when ear phones are plugged into them. Also there may be a switch or button or prompt on your radio to switch between regular speaker and ear phone jack. Look for that first. Try connecting and disconnection ear phones while listening to a station and see if the problem is intermittent. If is works sometimes but not every time then it is most likely an internal connection. You will have to access the inside of the radio to investigate further. Connect a working external music or sound source with speaker wire to the terminals inside the radio that connect to the radio's speaker. If the radio's speaker works with the external sound source then you know it is a bad connection inside your radio. If the radio's speaker does not work with the external sound source then it is most likely a faulty radio speaker. Look closely for a broken solder point or broken/disconnected wire.

Memory
Hi there!
This is a problem caused by the Airport's securuty systems.
They have damaged your equipment. If you were not warned of the risk and given a chance to avoid being scanned, then you should be entitled to some compensation for the damage.
Contact the airport customewr services. They should be able to advise you from there.
I hope you get some compensation for it.
