When I open the software
a couple things... the camera has to be on.... and somewhere there is a setting for the program to know where the camera is hooked up.... if there is an auto detection.... which xp and vista will do on their own if you use usb.... then use that.... if the camera does hook up to the computer by usb.... leave the program off for a sec and just see if the operating system will detect the camera.

I cannot get my computer to load pictures from my ViviCam 3935
Thanks, but I appearantly fixed the problem. I googled some sites and downloaded a free wizard or whatever their called. I apologize for the vague answer, but as you can probably tell, I'm practically a cyber idiot. Anyway, I think it's the same one that I inadvertantly took off the computer before. Thank you for you reply and inquiry. I wish to you all, a happy and safe Holday season!

CANT PULL UP MY PICTURES
Try installing the software again, but this time use a different USB port to the one you used before, and only plug the camera in when asked to do so.
My new mini...
Hmm, there isn't a little viewing screen?
Anyway, you can download the images to your computer and view them there. Either hook the camera up to your computer via the cable that came with it.
Or, you'll need a card reader & take the card out and hook up the reader to the 'puter and insert card.
If you're using Xp a image downloading wizard thingy will pop-up and walk you thru the process.
If not, after hooking camera or card up to 'puter, click on "my computer" find your device and click on it to open & view photos there.
And transfer images to your computer too.

Check this site - some of the links dont work but some do and there is a lot of good discussion and other ideas;

Hope this helps, if not please contact vivitar;

and yes, the camera should be Mac compatible as long as you can get the driver to work - try the suggestion about picasa on the link if not.
:)
