What part of the machine is affected in error code C2557 of Konica Minolta bizhub 350
Sir/Mam, Might want to have the developer replaced and drum/cleaning blade normally done all together, then run the F8 procedure/Developer Charge, and make sure the counters where cleared. Did you recently replace the drum and the developer if so did you clear the counters for the drum and developer, FIRST? IF not then the copier thinks the new drum and new developer are old. The copier works on the counters that is how it knows it got a new drum and developer. Get new developer and a new drum and have it installed correctly. Counters are clear before the unit is yanked out of the machine, then you remove the image unit/drum unit replace the developer/drum and cleaning blade. (DO NOT USE A VACUUM CLEANER WHEN REPLACING THE DEVELOPER static electricity can destroy the sensor located below the developer unit. Then reinstall and RUN F8/Developer Charge. Make sure the fax line and Ethernet cable is removed can't print anything until the F8 is run. Or you will start all over again with new developer and a new drum. Sir/Mam,
Main Motor failure to turn. Remove all image units then shake each side to side. What you want to do is spread the developer (Located inside the unit) along the entire length of the image unit. BET the image(s) unit were stored up & down, instead of flat, person just picked it up and installed it. All the developer was sitting at one end so the motor could not turn correctly. NEVER EVER STORE I/U UP/DOWN always flat!!! Open & close the front door to reset the code. If code comes back then you might have already burned out the main motor, or worse case the Control board went bad ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$). But first replace the image units (all one might be stuck or two or three or four) with a new one. Cheaper, then having a Technician come out to check the motor and control board.
