Maximum Number of Recordings
Are you sure there are no programs saved, you must delete a recorded program to make sure it is unsaved. Also, if it is a controller issue, you may have to leave it unplugged for several days to reset. But this is not a guaranteed fix.
Why doesn't it turn on?

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.
Retuned qld stations, lost nsw stations???
Do a re-tune to this set; after a reset. There are two types of reset to TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight; will be better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here.

Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.
First do a hard reset and check. If it do not help you do a factory reset.
Picture too big for screen
Look for button labeled ratio, push as many times as it takes to get right size, usually 16:9. If you are using a cable box/satellite box the pix size could also be adjusted within its menu. but first be sure the TV is properly set to 16:9
Indicator light stays on yellow, will not go to green. can't get TV to turn on!!
I see so many here with no sound/nopicture issues:ISSUES: 1. IF sound main fuse/s are good.2. If no power or standby check main fuse, standby power supply and any signsof damage you can see---burnt parts etc.3. almost all these sets the troubleshooting involves
checking voltages on the main power board to narrow down theproblem.4. Be safe and if you do not know what you are doing don't open the set.Answers to issues:1. RE:fuses---if a blown fuse is found get a good replacement(not the genericones like Radio Shack). Many fuses are special even aside from amperage--Don'tput a higher rated amperage fuse in the set for any reason.2. RE: power supply in set: if total dead aside from main fuse the set uses astandby power supply that runs 7/24 and a main supply (some are combined andsome not. Here aside from checking fuses you want to examine all the filter caps on thepower/standby to see if any are puffed up or buldged up in some fashion--Iattach a photo of a good one---top should be silver metal and PERFECTLY flatand have no brown material coming out on top or bottom. What happens in the standby area is they use caps with too low a voltage rating(saves money) which causes them to fail in a year or two---the standby runs7/24 and the heat dries out the caps and they fail.3. Trouble shooting consists of the above and then at some point you have to buyand try a board to see if it fixes it or not.4. Safety first--no TV set is worth getting injured or even killed over.If set is opened at least look for puffed up and bad caps like in thisphoto.

LG 50PX4DR 50 in. Plasma TV/DVR Combo popping
Hi,
Hi,
The pop sound was due to any component failure.
Most probably the capacitor. Depending upon the size the sound is produced.
The
first step of diagnosis is checking the fuse. The boards of the plasma
tv are very costly and in most of the case non-repairable. The only way
out would be replacing the ones required. If you want to repair it
yourself then you should be having proper knowledge about the internal
circuitry of the plasma TVs as they are totally different from tubes and
lcds.
You should also require a multimeter and soldering equipments.
It is not possible to say which board because the diagnosis has to be done step by step.
You will have to check the PSU output and Y board and Z board input.
Most probably you will need to replace Y,Z and Ctrl board unless there is virtual defect.
Let me know,if you wanted to repair it yourself. I would be glad to help you further.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. Two things may cause the "No
Signal" message to come up are - no data available for closed captioning and a
weak signal input. Your TV is in the Closed Captioning Mode. To turn it off
simply bring up the on screen menu and scroll down to the part that says closed
captioning and turn this function off! With the closed captioning block
displayed and the program being viewed is not sending out closed captioning
signals the TV will display, No signal! Please accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further
assistance.
Thanks

I have 50" lg Plasma tv. When I start it first
The UF capacitors on your PSB-power supply board are blown. Your tv is putting itself in fault protection mode to keep it from damaging more components internally. Soon enough the TV won't come on at and you'll be left with a blinking fault LED.
