LG 50PX4DR 50 in. Plasma TV - Page 5 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

I've been finding quite a few HDMI related problems over the past year and it seems to be increasing.
The problem usually is due to the cable being somewhat heavy. The plug sticks straight in and hangs. The weight of the cable uses the downward momentum and starts ripping the solder connections from the televisions HDMI input.
When the audio becomes distorted, try moving the cable and see if it clears up. If it does, then, that's the problem. If not, then the problem is more than likely the audio circuit.
Either way the Main PCB needs to be replaced.
After replacing the Main board, I suggest using component inputs instead (Same quality picture, just more cords), because, the chances of another problem caused by HDMI is likely.
Hope this helps.
Plasma TV
If you mean the picture froze or formed fuzzy pixelated picture and crackling, this will be due to a poor aerial signal to the tv, but if you mean the screen rolls with pink/white patchwork type squares and shows the picture in the background, all be it fuzzy, then that's the same fault as I am getting and have had to report the fault to LG as I am on my second TV.
If it is the problem mentioned in the first sentence, it is happening to our friends in OS and they have been told by specialist aerial fitters, the signal is too weak for the tv.

The TV should be under warranty. Send back. Sounds like the panel is faulty (half the value of the set).
I have a LG dvd
player 5083 inserted the disc the correct way into the draw but the machine does not play the disc a very slight humming noise is heard then it spits the drawer back out
Clean the Lens: Use a DVD cleaning disc to clean the lens. If the problem persists, consider professional cleaning.
Test Other Discs: Try playing different DVDs to see if the issue occurs consistently. If it's specific to one disc, that disc might be the problem.
Check for Updates: Make sure your DVD player's firmware is updated. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions for firmware updates.
Try a Different TV: Connect your DVD player to a different TV to see if the noise disappears. If it does, the issue might be with your TV.
The hum is simply the player trying to read the disc. It can't so, it spits it out.
Remember that prolonged use of a malfunctioning DVD player could potentially cause damage. If the problem persists, consider seeking professional repair or replacement
