HiIn Australia I have seen similar problems with some recent models of LG dishwashers. Not sure if the ones sold in the US are any different. One common problem I have seen with LG wash pumps from dishwashers which were sold 2-4 years ago, is that the motor becomes noisy after some time. The replacement motors which I have ordered is a different one and therefore revised as the predesessor was not reliable. The replacement motor has a different mounting bracket as well. They are fairly cheap, but to change them is very difficult. Best to get a repairer as the machine needs to be thoroughly dismantled to allow you to get to the wash pump.Ash

Replace the door seals/gasket.
You also have adjustment on the door hinge springs. You need to remove side panels to get to the hinge adjustment on the sides and tighten them. Sometimes the chasis of the machine gets bent from the weight of the door.
If you need instructions on removing the side panels let me know.

The most likely cause is blockages in the dishwasher water flow systems. Water pressure may make the water volume lower than it should be, but these days dishwashers use less water than you may think.
Inspect the strainers and passageways of areas that you can get to.
Seals and gaskets are less likely involved with this issue.
I have an 1E error code. The manual says a blocked
Hi
E1 is a leakage error in your LG dishwasher; it is usually
displayed either due to a clogged drain or due to water leakage in hose
connections. If the drain pump assembly is not clogged then check the motor
water seal leakage of sump assembly and also check the impeller of washing
pump, if it is worn then replace the impeller. You can also make sure that the
height of drain hose is not over 20". Hope this helps...please post back for
further assistance.

Steam is pouring out of the top right hand side of
Hello,
Its completly normal for the dishwasher to steam during the cycle. Some manufactures make a steam guard which is a piece of stainless steel and mounts to the underside of the countertop where the dishwasher is installed to prevent the steam from ruining the countertop. If ya can find a piece of stainless steel to mount there it will deflect the steam.is needs to be stainless since regular steel isn't stainless and would rust over time. Perhaps plexiglass would work too.

Hi george44480,
The E1 you are seeing means the following: Water
Level in Drum lowering, this means there is a leak on one of the pipes.
More likely it is the Circulation Pump, which is responsible for
pushing the water to the Spray arms.
It will have to be replaced,

The dishes are not clean when we run the wash
Hi,
I have an older dishwasher also and recently my wife alsocomplained about it not cleaning right... so me being the man I am tried invain to clean the things... Bought new spray arms online and installed them inminutes...now the thing works like new... However I have also found that if theheating element goes bad then that also can mess things up bad... So I wouldbuy new spray arms, and also check out the heating element to make sure it isworking...
Even if you need a heating element and spray arms, they will be much cheaper then a new one...espec. if you install it all yourself, which is not that hard to do...
Here is a tip that will help you with the online buying...

The motor continues to run
Hello John,
The simple answer (without looking at the wiring diagram) is the float switch. The simple answer (after looking at the wiring diagram) is the float switch. I've posted the wiring diagram for this washer to Flickr for you:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/57298187@N02/5571542445/sizes/l/in/photostream/
The float is a secondary water level sensor. It detects when the washer is overfilled or there is a leak into the bottom of the washer under the tub and activates the flood-protection system. This closes the water inlet valve and runs the drain pump motor continuously. Basically, you either have a leak, the float is stuck or the float switch is faulty.
Hope this helps. I definitely wouldn't suggest switching out the control PCB. Have a look at the wiring diagram and check under the tub for any signs of a leak, then let me know if you need further assistance.
Regards,
BElectric
