TE is a Therrmistor error, The thermistor senses the water temp. As with any error code it could be the part, Wiring Harness or Computer which is causing the issue. If you try cold temp wash the cycles may work. Geeks should OHM out the part to see if that is at fault. LG has 2 different Thermistors. 1. Thermistor is part of the heat element. 2. Thermister is separate. LG part# 6322FR2046C. Quick easy fix. Hope this helps. Mike

Thanks to a couple of previous responders, 6 months of frustration has now ended - I can now run the Tub Clean on my LG Steam Washer! I first want to say that it is important not to get excited and start pushing buttons randomly, as I think I had been doing for all these months when I couldn't get Tub Clean to work by pushing the button in for 3 seconds. Just do the following, which combines and expands on a couple of previous responses:

1. I had to deactivate the Spin Sense, and if your Spin Sense is ON, you will have to do this too. (It is ON if the spin speed light flashes while any of the wash cycles is in progress. If spin speed button does not flash while a wash cycle is in progress, the Spin Sense is already off.) So how to deactivate Spin Sense? Select Speed Wash, and start the cycle. Let it run for about 20 seconds and THEN push and HOLD IN in the Spin Sense option button for 3 seconds. The blinking spin speed button will stop blinking and you will then know that the Spin Sense is OFF.

2. Once Spin Sense is off: Start with your machine turned off. Then push the power button on and select the RINSE AND SPIN option button. Then START the Rinse and Spin cycle. Let it run for about 5 seconds and then PUSH IN AND HOLD THE TUB CLEAN OPTION BUTTON FOR 3 SECONDS. You will then see the little LED light panel show something that looks like tcl. And you are there! Just leave it alone .... the LED will change to one hour and 25 minutes. And it will clean your machine just great.

3. Don't forget to put your bleach in the detergent cup before you start all of this.

I want to thank the two responders above who gave me the essential features for this fix. I forgot to make a note of their names before I started this response, but you can see who they are. I am so excited. Now EVERYTHING works on my LG Steam Washing Machine. I love this machine. It is a miracle of cleaning, especially since I own 4 large breed dogs and am washing and sanitizing large hairy and smelly bedding each and every day. And I no longer have to iron anything - I just use the steam cycle to unwrinkle our clothes. Best washer I have ever owned (and I have owned another major brand of large capacity front loading washer before - no comparison).

Are you sure it is not an "tE" error code. Sounds like a thermistor error. A $6 part. Kinda easy to replace but must turn washer on its back or side to get to. Answer back with a comment to this answer if you want more info or repair guidance.

Model# not coming up WM2688H need Right number. you say your getting a PF code sound like loose connection somewhere. getting a glitch in the power at power up Need more details on what first symptoms were B4 any parts changed and list of parts changed will PF cancel on controls takes a few seconds then flashes PF? No button, but LG customer service says unplugging the unit for 1 hour and then holding the power button while turning it on will reset the computer.

In my experience this does work, but I don't think it resets absolutely everything.

Another time I had a problem LG customer service told me to unplug the unit, hold the power button for 60 seconds and then plug it back in. I can't confirm if this works or not, but it is worth a try first (60 seconds is a lot shorter than 60 minutes...).

For LG washers, the DE error indicates a problem with the door lock. If you just started the cycle and the error occurred, then the door couldn't lock properly. (The machine turns off and indicates the error so that the water won't flood your laundry area.) First check if there are any clothes between the door and the frame. If needed unplug the washer for 5 minutes. Then restart the machine try to open the door. If you pressed Pause, wait a minute or two. If the error occurs at the end of the cycle, it may not be unlocking properly. The latch mechanism may have failed or the PTC sensor in the latch has failed. my washer also was leaking from the dispenser and I had a cap from one of the detergent bottles stuck in the inlet hose. Don't know how it got in there but glad I found it so if your washer leaks from the soap tray it could be a cap from your detergent bottle stuck in there.

if it fails to stop running only at the rinse part of the cycle it is probably in the timer as the solenoid valve has to cut the water off when the washer fills for the wash cycle too. fills for wash cycle and cuts off water, washes and drains, refills for rinse cycle and water just keeps running? does this every time you run it? that's in the timer. bad solenoid (water inlet valve) would keep running even on wash fill up. hope this helps.

The switch assembly on the door may be defective, check for continuity and replace if necessary.
