AC Compressor
Does not sound right to me.My guess after doing what every he was doing he probably installed a start capacitor or repaired a burnt wrie, got the compressor running and charged for a lot of guess work. Just guessing.

Why is the floor under koolking wet
If the drain is clogged or the ac is not slightly tilted towards the outside, the condensed water will leak inside instead of outside where it belongs.

LG lw1810hr window unit heat not working
Check to see if there's power to the reversing valve, if there is, try tapping it slightly with something kind of soft. You should give the reversing valve solenoid a continuity check with an ohmmeter to see if it's open or shorted.

Why did my ac quiet blowng heat
Check the controls, this unit most likely a reverse cycle air conditioner. It can be set to cooling or to heating. The conpressor is reversed to heat or running normally to cool.If it is not then the compressor is not working and it is just blowing room temperature air.

Bought this LG unit (LWHD7000HR)
Unplug the a/c and check the control panel of your a/c. Unscrew the control panel to expose the wires and terminal lugs.Check for lose wires or terminal lugs or defects from the compressor capacitor. If all are OK try adjusting the thermostat switch to make the contacts work. If the capacitor is damage replace it and replace any damage terminal lug. If the compressor still does not work, check the overload and the compressor resistance. If overload is open, replace it and check compressor amperage. If the compressor amperage is high, you have to replace the compressor, vacuum, and recharge freon.

It is 106 degrees outside,
Unfortunately, 7000 Btu's will not cool 1180 sq ft. At best, it's rated for 400 sq ft, as it's only rated as a "Room Air Conditioner". To cool 1180 square feet, you'll need at least 30,000 Btu's (like in Central Air Conditioning) or 4 more window units spread out throughout the condo. It takes more Btu's to cool, than it does to heat.
I really sorry. I wish I had better news for you. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

I purchased my ac in
Unplug the unit. You will need to gain access to the blower motor inside the unit. Try and turn this motor by hand. If it is frozen, lubricate it. If it is not frozen, you either have a burned out motor, or you have an electrical failure.
Most motor failures are due to
lubrication problems. It could be
lack of lubrication for whatever reason. It could
be contamination of the bearing system. If you don't
grease a motor, sooner or later it's going to fail. If you
lose grease in the bearing during cleaning, a failure is imminent. High
motor and bearing temperatures also will tend to dry up
the grease over time.
If you are not familiar with working on A/C units, motors, etc., I would recommend having a service professional repair the unit, or you can purchase a replacement. I’m happy to help further over the phone at

My air conditioner cooling coils get frozen
Hello, the evap coil will freeze from either low airflow or low charge. I would clean the coils, check air filter and replace or clean if dirty. If you have a thermometer measure the air entering the ac and the air leaving the ac, the differance should be 15-20 degrees, measure this after cleaning the coils. If it still is below 15 degrees the unit is underchraged.

My LG air conditioner does
There may be something in the fan or could have the bearings worn in the motor. If you're careful you can turn the unit to the off position, take the plastic front off, reach in thru where the air blows out and try to give the fan blower a spin and see if it is free. If it isn't, try to find whats holding it. If it is, the bearings are worn and you'll have to have a new motor.
