Ilo 27 inch hdmi/dvi hd tv monitor

Hi, I'm afraid that not only a cable is needed but an analog (vga) to digital (dvi) converter/scaler as well. The iLo LCD Display V27DMBX-U12 can hook up to a PC using the DVI-I connection only. As you said, your computer has the standard 1D15 pin VGA connector. Another possibility is if your video card has a composite video output (normally a color yellow RCA female) or an S-Video output which will both connect direct to your iLo LCD Display V27DMBX-U12. For the RCA connection all you need is an ordinary RCA to RCA shielded wire cable and for the S-Video, an S to S Video cable will work. There is of course the question about the quality or the resolution. Good luck and hope that this be of some help to you. Pls post again how things turn up. Kind regards.

Ilo tv

Take off the back cover of the TV. Be careful around the red wire that suction cups to the top of the CRT - it carries high voltage! On the circuit board, you will see where the power wire connects to the board. You should be able to pull the board out to get to this area. Also, the board can be completely removed by disconnecting a few connectors and gently pulling the board off that connects to the back of the CRT. When disconnecting the high voltage wire from the CRT, there are many resources on the web that discuss the proper way to do that.

The diodes are near where the power wire is soldered to the board. You will see a fuse (which needs to be replaced - just pry it out and drop in a new one - Radio Shack sells these). Then if you go toward the back of the case, you will see some other electronics and then four diodes. They were all black in the one I worked on. And the number on them is in my original post, I don't remember it right now. Desolder one at a time noting its orientation - diodes must go back the same way, and check each one. I used a multimeter that had a diode check function.

Good luck.

Remote

Some more suggestions to see if your remote control has just lost it's programming is try unplugging your television and taking the batteries out of the remote control for atleast 5 minutes. If this doesn't work, or you've tried tvtek's advice up top and you still can't get your remote control to work, I would try ordering a original replacement remote control for your specific television. I would not recommend purchasing a universal remote, because half the time the problem with it not working could just be caused by it using the incorrect code. If you go to a site like http://www.remotecontrolscenter.com and look through their site for the exact model number of your television and purchase that remote control than you'll have a good idea if it's the remote or the television. Most likely you'll find it was the remote control!

Question

I own a One-for-All universal remote (model URC-4220) which is compatible with " ilo" TVs. I bought it at Walmart , but it is sold at other department stores, too. The One-for-All company also has a website, which offers their products for sale.

Television

It looks like a sensor circuitry issue, or a problem with the main board itself. Unfortunately, the number of reasons are too many to be able to discuss it here. It would be best to have it serviced.

Remote code

You can find the remote control codes for different brands of devices from
http://www.hifi-remote.com/ofa/codes-tv.shtml#tv

If none of the codes work then we have two other solutions:

1. Searching For Your Code

If you have tried all of the set-up codes for your brand of equipment ,or your brand is not listed, and you are still not able to get the unit to respond, try the following procedure to search for your code.
If you don't find a code that works, the remote will flash four times when you reach the end of all the codes for this device type.
  1. PRESS the button for the device you want to program, (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.), then RELEASE.
  2. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice, then RELEASE.
  3. ENTER 9-9-1 (two blinks on the remote)
  4. ALTERNATE slowly between the POWER key and the DEVICE (TV, VCR, CABLE, etc.) button until your device turns off. (On VCR, LD, and CD players use PLAY instead of POWER)
Make sure that the remote is pointed at your device during the search, You may have to press this sequences of buttons up to 100 times to search the entire library of codes.
  5. When your device turns OFF, PRESS the SETUP button and RELEASE it to lock in the code for your device.

2. Learn the buttons from the original

Line up your original remote and the head-to-head before completing the following steps.
  1. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice.
  2. PRESS 9 - 7 - 5, the red LED will flash twice.
  3. PRESS the DEVICE key where you wish to learn the function. The next 3 steps must be completed within 10 seconds.
  4. PRESS the button that will receive the learned function, the LED will flash rapidly.
  5. PRESS the button on the original remote to be learned.

Now you can repeat steps 3 through 5 to learn other functions onto other keys or press and hold SETUP until the Cinema's red light flashes twice to lock in your new feature. (If the red light does not blink twice, stop and repeat steps through 6).
To test the new feature, press and release the device key in which the new feature was learned followed by the key on which the feature was learned

More help for programming your remote can be found here:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/manuals/ofa-l.shtml?URC-7800#device

Hope that helps!

Ilo hd tv

Hey try unplugging your television and taking the batteries out of the remote control.. Wait about 5 minutes and try it then! Did that help? If not, your remote control code be broken or it could be your television, but most likely the remote, so I would recommend purchasing a new replacement remote control from a site like http://www.remotecontrolscenter.com instead of buying a universal remote control that you'll have to spend hours trying to program to work with your tv, instead the replacement remote will be an exact replacement for that broken remote control. Hope that helps!

Hook computer to ILO tv

The best way is to buy a graphics card with HDMI output. This will dsplay your PCs desktop the way it's supposed to look, and will appear much sharper and clearer than using vga, as the output is digital to begin with. If you don't need to play the latest games, you get get one for around $30. Add a wireless mouse and keyboard and you'll be able to control everything from your armchair. You can also then use your PC to download and watch films etc from the internet..
