This is a common problem with that series of TVs. It likely has more than one, the main fan should be right at the lamp inside and another should be on the digital board, most of these have at least two fans, got some issue?

Hello, I'm sorry to tell you that that set has a bad optical assembly. The blue part has gone bad and cause's either a yellowing of the screen or blue spotting or both. You can purchase a new lcd tv cheaper than you can repair that one. Do not replace the lamp, it's not what's wrong with it, and you'll just waist your money. thanks, Terry

The simple test I would make is hook something to the rear audio and video inputs and see if when cold you have the problem there.If your main signal in is via the cable fitting make sure cable is connected and if the set does not display the issue via rear audio/video jacks you can (most sat and cable boxes have this) route your signal via an unused set of audio and video jacks thus bypassing the tuner
