Brake Light Stays On
I just had the same thing. The brake light actuarer in inside the brake lever on the bars. If the lever is worn, the actuator moves aside and the brake light stays on. Remove the brake lever and push the little black switch. If the brake light goes out replace the lever and actuator.

Harley Davidson 883 2004
I have a 1980's somthing 883 with a fucked up hand built wiring harness and for some strange reason when I hit the starter it just clicks. So I moved the relays and got shocked. Whats my problem???
On my 1991 fxstc, the front blinker lamps burn on
Check all of the connections. The frame of the bike is the negative. I would think there is a short somewhere, either inside one of the lamp housings or the wiring harness has chafed and is touching the frame. You will have to check each wire. Check also inside the fuse housing. There may be a wire off or shorting in there.
Trouble code do8 changed speedsensor
D08 means over-voltage. You bike is over charging and will cook your battery. You regulator will have to be checked as well as your stator. If you have to drive to a dealership, keep your revs down as low as possible, at least not above 2000 revs. Do not drive more than a few miles or battery may get damaged. The letters simply mean set. So you have D08SEt which means D08 set.
1972 shovel what type of spark plug can i use other than harley and what is the gap
Best to use Harley plugs
If the plugs require cleaning between tune-ups, proceed by degreasing the firing end of spark plug using ELECTRICAL CONTACT CLEANER and then dry plug with compressed air. THEN using a thin file flatten the spark plug electrodes because a spark plug with sharp edges on its electrodes requires 25-40% less firing voltage than one with rounded edges. If the plugs cannot be cleaned, replace with them with 6R12 spark plugs. Check the electrode gap with a wire-type feeler gauge and bend the outside of the electrode so only a slight drag on the gauge is felt when passing it between the electrodes. Proper gap measurement is 0.038-0.043 in. (0.97-1.09 mm). Check the condition of the cylinder head and plug threads and if necessary remove deposits by applying penetrating oil and clean them out with a thread chaser. Apply a good sensor safe ANTI-SEIZE to the plugs and then install and tighten them to 12-18 ft-lbs (16.3-24.4 Nm).
82 FXRS that won't start
I have an 82 FXRS as well. I love it even though it has a vibration that comes and goes (motor mount issue most likely.) I would check for broken/loose connection on the solenoid before I started replacing components. I'd check the switch as well. Can't really reach the solenoid to jump it direct. Check the small stuff first.
