Maytag MEW6530DDS Stainless Steel Electric Single Oven Questions & Answers
Oven is slow to heat up and will not heat above 250
You may have a bad heater coil in the oven or have lost a leg in the 220 line. Check and reset the breaker 1st then check the voltage in the receptacle. It should be 110 from each leg to ground and 220 across the hot legs.

Front Panel Buttons not responding
The touch control panel is a piece of ****! Call MAYTAG, and get a new one, you should still be under warranty. Make them send you the part direct ( its the WHOLE front top panel ), then call a tech to put it in for $50 bucks. Takes about 10 minutes to do. The panel plugs into the electrical Board behind the panel.
FYI...the Top panel includes the Stainless Panel + the Touch controls! Its all one integrated part. The part that goes bad is the "cable contacts" that latch to electrical panel.
FYI....the Cable is made of "thin clear film " similar to Film you put in a Camera.

I have a Maytag in wall oven (part# MEW653ODDS).
HI. This will be the actual control board in this case, that will be the culprit. the control board, and touch pad, are integrated. These symptoms are indicating that the key pad membrane is damaged. This will require you to replace the entire control board. Once the control is replaced, these issues will be corrected.
