Having trouble powering up my Viewsonic VX922.

bob_loopeker, If you know that your pc is ok with different monitor then you will need to inspect the power supply board inside your VX922. All you need in the way of info is here on fixya!! All you need to do is read and make decision on what to do. Spend some time reading in my fixya profile or do "ctrl" key and click on "vx922 19" monitor" that is highlighted in light blue text above. May need new capacitors installed on unit's "switch-mode-power-supply" printed circuit board. hopre this helps. 12fixlouie

17" veiwsonic power blinking green

The flashing green power button is a well known electronic problem with this (and other) Viewsonic LCD monitors. There is a YouTube video (do a search) showing how to disassemble the VX924 and find out whether the problem is related to blown capacitors. When I took my VX922 apart I discovered 6 bad capacitors out of a total of 7 on the power supply circuit board.Only recommended for those handy with a soldering iron.

The monitor screen is always black after turning it on.

Check the cable going from the monitor to the back of your PC and make sure that it is plugged in good. Also make sure your tower is turned on.

Hi, my viewsonic va912b monitor disply 'no

Try this first. Unplug the monitor power. Let it set for a few seconds and then plug it back in. This corrects this problem most of the time. If that doesn't work, try doing the same thing with the video cable. Disconnect it from the PC and then reattach it. The connections may have gotten corroded and are not making a good contact.

Hope these help you. because beyond that you are looking at either replacing the monitor or the video card.

My monitor will not turn on, it was working fine

kmbass24, Could be "black screen of death" problem. The problem is inside the monitor! Most likely a power supply problem. If not handy with soldering iron, solder wick, removal/install of bad filter capacitors, and use of DVM then a tech will need to troubleshoot unit. Some units can be repaired for less than $12 in parts!!! It's the charge for labor that gets you in the end. $20 min per hr. Your monitor is no different than any other brand. Go to YOUTUBE and view some typical BSoD repair vids of "LCD monitor disassembly" LCD monitor repair" FYI and learn what the 2 common ROOT CAUSES of BSoD are. Hint for you is this: Have you seen the NEW style screw-in, curlie-Q, energy saving compact fluorescent LIGHT BULBS! Very similar technology is used to light-up your LCD panel to enable you to SEE what is on the display!
If this was of some interest, rate this response on fixya. bye for now.

No recive signal to computer

I assume your computer is turned on and running. (if computer is off, you'll get that message too).

Check to make sure the cable is connected tightly to the video port in the back of your computer (see photo for image of connector). Then check to ensure the other end of the cable is tightly connected to the monitor. If that doesn't solve the problem, you may consider replacing the video card in your computer.

When power is applied to the lcd monitor vx922,

If obtaining the capacitors is a problem you can purchase a replacement power supply from the Viewsonic store. I just performed the repair on my VX922 and it works Like a champ. The replacement power supply is Part Number B-00003993 PSU - Supply (ADP.INV, FSP043-2P101 90"264V GP) according to the invoice. The total cost shipped was about $35 when I ordered it on AUG 5, 2009. It was quite easy to do and took 30 minutes. The monitor is working like a champ. The capacitors where in fact swollen but that led me to believe that other components may be suspect hence the decission to go with the entire supply based on the minimal cost and lack of availability of capacitors. Tools needed were phillips screw driver set, nutdriver for removal of VGA and DVI locknuts/capstands, cuticle scraper for removal of internal connectors and monitor case clips and a "Bennifiber" measuring scoop (to seperate the monitor case halves without scratching). Be careful when removing the aluminum insulating tape holding the connectors and planar boards down or it will tear. If you have "aluminum" duct repair tape it will suffice as a replacement. Also you will need to remove the tape on the sides to gain access to the screws mounting the cage holding the power supply and inverter assembly.

My viewsonic monitor is fluxuating pinkish to

Hello,

When LCD monitors start turning pink that is an indication that the backlight tubes are failing. Check the date on your monitor most Viewsonic LCD monitors have a 3 year warranty and yours is probably still covered. If it is not then you may want to look for a replacement unit. You can replace the backlight tubes but if you are not a tech it is probably not going to be easy for you to do. If you have questions email me and I will try to help.
