The defrost circuit in you freezer has failed that is why you have to defrost the coils. The defrost circuit consists of the heater element, the defrost thermostat and the control module. The control module turns off the compressor and powers up the heating element to melt the ice on the coil, after the coil reaches 40 deg F the thermostat cuts off power to the heater. The heating element and thermostat is mounted to the coil. If you have a multimeter and know how to use one, you can check the thermostat and heater. You can check the heating element with a multimeter to see if it has electrically opened. If it has then you will need to replace it. Check also the thermostat, it should be in series with the heater. It should read close to 0 ohms if it is freezing and read infinite ohms if the temperature is above 40F. If the thermostat and heater check out, the problem might be with the control module.

As the weather is getting warmer for many people their freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...

I'm uncertain as to exactly what you mean by "the freezer is trying to come on"? However, there may be an issue with the compressor or the components that attach or work in conjunction with the compressor (e.g.: relay, start capacitor (if applicable) and overload). Pull the refrigerator out and simply listen for an intermittent "buzzing or clicking sound) coming from the lower rear compartment. If there is such a sound, then you may very well have an issue with the aforementioned parts or the compressor itself. I recommend an appliance service company!

It appears that the balance of the machine is not correct. Please try to adjust the level by adjusting the adjustable wheels at the bottom. If it does not stop Please remove the back panel and when it starts humming observe which of the part is viberating or making noise. If loose tighten it or fix it. It is not a major problem and has nothing to do with the performance of frig

Try to replace the relay and see if it works, relays are replaceable parts of the refrigerator that ca be found beside the motor compressor, just bring your old model so that you can have comparisson when you buy new one3

Likely, the compressor has seized (unlikely), or the start cap for the compressor has gone out (likely). Latter is cheap, former is not. You can do latter yourself, its not hard.

I believe looking over the service manual that white is the common. and it should be the one to test the keyboard before the keyboard plugs into the control board. If you would like the service manual please let me know because it does show some test to eliminate the origin of the problem, Sea Breeze
