im sorry to tell you, but the sound is probobly normal.
fridges these days make some weird noises.
they started making noises when they changed the gas to R34a.
you may be able to get a noise ruduction kit for your model. they are not too fun to install

you might need a new Compressor part number W10160407 the pic below is the Compressor

Pull both drawers completely out of their locations, clean off the slides that they each normally rest on. Clean off the surfaces beneath where they sit. Now, if they are both the same width and height, switch them and see if the problem is solved. If not, check the actual drawers to see if their sliding surfaces are cracked or covered with any kind of junk. You should be able to get everything to fit with these procedures.

IS the compressor running and is it hot?

Get a bypass cap for the filter outlet and see what happens. Here is the cap to order. It installs where the filter goes and is good for diagnosing water line problems. Keep me posted.

Do you see ice buildup on the back freezer wall?

Lower humidity is more cold air going in. Higher humidity is les air. Veggies in higher humidity and fruits in lower. Meat can also be be stores in lower humidity.

You may have Ice buildup in the freezer. You freezer has a fan in the bak that sends the cool air to the fridge. Your fridge dial determines how muh cold air comes from the freezer. Try defrosting the freezer. You may have to pull the back panel off of the inside of the freezer to get the ice thawed. The ice build up is likely causing the air to not get to the fridge. Hope it works.

under bottom shelf there are air inlets to fridge take out tray clean ice frominlets

i had to unplug mine for almost two days and let it completely defrost. it happened again within a couple of days. I read on website needed to let defrost and clean out area between freezer and fridge. the top of fridge was a little difficult at first but finally got loose cleaned all out and works fine now! it was all frozen up. some times our equipment need rest !!! remove your food , unplug for at least two days, clean inside.after two days plug back

There is no lock. More than likely the Door is off track and needs to be reset or ice has set up in the track ceaseing the rails up. In any case this isn't easy you need to get your bottommount freezer door pulled open you may have to use some force and be very careful not to brake it there is alot of plastic. Once you get the door completely out of freezer unclip the rails from the plastice rails and reset the two gears (evenly) to make door shut right. Push metal rails all the way back to you hear a click. Then reverse steps to install freezer door.

Thanks, Solution #3, for the phone number ((800) 688-9900)! We, too, have the Ice2O refrigerator, and the HV Board started the disco light show last night. Followed instructions above to disable it, which temporarily solved the problem. Was on the phone with Maytag (Whirlpool?) this AM, and their initial response was that they wouldn't cover anything since we are out of warranty. I had to be extremely firm with my expectation that all parts and labor would be covered. Sent the rep back to her supervisor several times until they agreed to cover both. If you find yourself in a similar situation, don't give up until everything is covered. This is a design issue that should NOT be impacted by an expired warranty!

Many times a freezer and/or refrigeratordo not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many otherthings that can go wrong. If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing thencheck out the last two tips.

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very,very carefully.
First I would check cold control. Thats where you turn it off, if your temp is not warm. it can
be defective and not shutting off. If your temp is warm proceed with the following.
I would check the fan in the freezer. Listen to see if it is running
It moves air to the ref from the freezer
Then check to see if FREEZER CONTROL is turned WARMER WHICH MAKES THE REF COLDER AND VICE-VERSA. SEE?
The ref. temp should be about 33-35
The Freezer temp should be 0 to 10 Any thing below these temps is overkill and a waste of elect
The higher the number you turn it up to is the coldest
But is probably a common defrost problem The ice build up
is not being melted by the defrost system.The fan can't blow through the coils into the fridge.
Take out back panel of freezer to check for ice buildup. The coils should be clean.
There are three components to a defrost system- a heater,heater thermostat, and a timer unless you have a defrost electronic card.
Its best handled by a Technician but you could possibly do it by taking your model number to the nearest appliance parts store and asking for the parts. They are mostly located in freezer ,behind back panel on freezer coils.except the card which is usually located in ref The parts store will have info
Also check fan undernearh Ref in the rear
Clean condenser coils underneath
Make sure back cover is on the fridge. Some take them off and throw them away.
make one out of cardboard if its gone, using the holes of the old one.

You will need to look into the possible chance that your evaporator Fan motor has stopped, been damaged or the freezer is not defrosting properly. To allow it to continue running can damage the compressor. Click Here=> MFD2560HES Evaporator Components then 12002744 Evaporator Fan Motor and again the 67002493 Defrost Heater I have all the instructions and hands on if you would like my assistance I will be here to assist and repair you Maytag That ticking noise could have been your fan blade finally reaching the frost until the fan stopped. Need to verify that there is power going to the fan. If no power at the fan verify the door switch is good. If door switch is good and in the closed position you still do not have power at the fan you have a bad board. If you do have power at the fan but the fan is not working with the door switch in the closed position you need to replace your fan.

The cold control needs replacing. Thats the knob with the numbers that turn the Ref OFF and ON.
What I do is call my local Appliance Parts Store with my model no. They are extremely helpful .
Get freezer and ref thermometer. Ref is probably too cold.
Freezer should be 0 to 10 degrees. Ref 33 to 35
