Backlight repair for p845t-s4305
You will want to take this into a local PC repair shop to have them repair this; Not all PC repair shops do this type of work.
If you want to do this yourself, look up the backlight part number based on your model of laptop, and order the backlight.

PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
As far as I know this is common error on toshiba laptops when OS is not installed or corrupted. Try removing hard drive (look at guide or on youtube) and reconnecting, if error still ocurrs, then reininstall os if you have windows cd (need to download drivers as well from Toshiba's site.)A new hard drive is fairly inexpensive, from eBay (refurb.is fine)

hi
to revers the upside down image, use the right side keys of the keyboard -- press ALT, CTRL and the up arrow key
as for the flickeringimage, it could be the LCD cable that is loose inside the computer -- that is something that has to be looked at by a technician

My Toshiba A105-S4004 will not hold its charge.
First, you need to make sure your power adapter is providing enough
power to both run the laptop & charge the battery. A very good way
to do this is to compare your laptop voltage & ampere requirements
(written on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop) with the voltage
& ampere ratings of the power adapter. Voltages should be the same,
or the power adapter's voltage about up to 0.5 volts more than the
laptop's voltage rating. Amperage of the power adapter should be at
least equal to or greater than the laptop's rating. It should never be
less than the laptop's rating, or else the power adapter will be
providing insufficient amperes to charge the battery. Of course, the
power adapter's nominal amperage might be ok, but it degraded on usage.
You can verify this by testing using a good or new power adapter.
If
the battery did not charge using the new power adapter, take the battery
off the laptop, & using a dry tooth brush, scrub in between the
fins of the battery connector on the motherboard & on the battery it
self, then put the battery back into the laptop & try again.
If
this still did not resolve the problem, then the battery itself could be
bad. Try it on another laptop, or try a good or new battery in your
laptop.
If this did not work, there might be a possibility that the
charging circuitry on the laptop's motherboard is defective & needs
servicing. In order to do this, the laptop needs to be disassembled
& the motherboard checked for defective/burned out components in the
area near the DC jack. Any defective/burned out components found should
be replaced, or you might need to replace the laptop's motherboard
altogether.

When I open my toshiba
I think I know what the problem is. But how do you know its a loose connection? Does it come back to noraml occasionally by itself? Anyways let me tell you what the problem is assuming its a loose connection. It the wire that goes from the GPU to the screen. Its called an LVDS cable. It looks like a small ribbon like wire. It should not be too hard to fix if you are handy at fixing stuff and if you are willing to open it up. Let me know if you want to do it so that I can see you through the repair.
Sai.

My screen has horizontal lines across half of the
Hi,
It would physically be in the LCD screen of your computer. If the monitor is working fine therefore there is nothing wrong with the video processing output or the drivers in the operating system. It would be in internal crack on the LCD or a loose connection with the LCD screen and the motherboard.
Its best to have your laptop checked by a service technician and dont just disassemble it by yourself to prevent accidents. Worst case is that the LCD needs to be replaced if really found cracked/defective.
Hope this helps.
