Hi,
The blinking cursor indicates that the Operating System is not loading properly, probably due to missing or corrupt file and you have to reinstall the system to fix it.
To get the data back, you have to remove the hard disk and connect it to another PC and back up the required/ vital data, after which you can put the hard disk back in the laptop and re-install it.
There are several cut-out panels at the bottom of
your notebook. Remove the screws holding them in and pop them off. You
may need to use a flathead screwdriver to pry the panels off. Remove the panel at the bottom left to unveil the hard disk. (Remove the screws holding the hard disk, if any) Pull the hard disk towards left corner (as shown) to unlock it from its connector to remove. Once you remove the hard disk, you would have to connect it to another PC as Portable
hard disk. Its a SATA hard disk, so you need a SATA to USB interface (portable disk case). Copy the vital data to another PC and put the disk back and reinstall the Operating System afresh.
Let me know if any further clarification/ assistance is required.
Hope it helps! Good Luck! Thanks for using Fixya!
