Hello, You just need to be on the same network or allow access from a public IP, it should work as long as the WLAN is setup and the server is setup properly. If you still have problems check your firewall settings on your router. Jay

Hi Sam, Probably requires a re-install of the OS via SD Card. Get the required files and hold 1 + 9 and click the red power button which will reset the device, then hold the left barcode scanner trigger to load bootloader and run the files from the SD Card. Thanks Jay

Hi Scott, Unfortunately, you can't export the firmware from a Motorola/Symbol device to SD Card or a computer via USB (I would love to be able to do that but you cant as far as I know...) Thanks Jay

You will have to re-install the required OS on the new PDA and install the applications you need via windows mobile center. Thanks Jay

Hello, Try configuring ScanWedge/DataWedge (it should be running).

• Open the app
• Click on the icon and on the menu select Config > Setup
• Select 'Send ENTER key after suffix'
• Click the 'OK' button

I have had the some problem with this unit,but you can to solve your problem with reinstalling an OS ,go the motorola software, find OS and copy it on an sd card put it on your divise,and launch it.

You need to configure your scan wedge or terminal emulator software (which usually includes wedge functionality) that processes scanned data to append a carriage return onto the end of what it is sending. Most software includes this as a configuration option, though sometimes you have to manually append a Carriage Return (ASCII code 13, Hex 0x0d, terminal emulation \r)

Are you sure this is a GSM Capable device. The MC70 comes in various varieties and with various options

whats the full config number from the bakc of the unit - underneath the battery? These units do not come with GSM as standard. We can fix this issue for you, we need to reconfigure a few things and replace a full parts. - If you need assistance with this please contact [email protected]

yes its on the parameters of datawedge software which can be downloaded from the motorola/symbol website. Upload the software to the device and you can set it to recognise from digits from 0 to 9
