Pink screen

A discolored screen, such as pink in your case, implies either:

1.) The motherboard and/or video processor of the TV has malfunctioned.

2.) Your input device is rendering the pink screen, such as a video game console for example.

If you determine that your input is not the reason for the pink screen then you need to contact Samsung for a warranty replacement.

Samsung offers a 1 year / 12 month standard warranty, and some of higher model TV's have a 3yr / 36 month warranty. You can find out your warranty information by going to http://www.samsung.com/us/support/#Also if you have purchased the TV in the last 30 days you can purchase a Squaretrade warranty which will refund the price of the television if they can not fix it. www.squaretrade.comI hope this helps!  Thank you for using FixYa!

TV won't turn on. Just get a clicking noise. How

The way to fix this failure is to replace 4 capacitors on the power supply. If your LCD has the power supply BN44-00135A in it, check the picture below to find the location and value of the capacitors.

Most likely has some capacitors in the power suppl bad. You can find them if you remove the rear cover. They will be swollen. either 1000 mfd or 2200 mfd . Replace with new ones.

I have a samsung tv and it makes a clicking noise.

I had the same problem. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tK7zFBBU6p4&feature=related We're not alone - its a common problem with Samsung. I watched a few of these and was able to see the bad capacitors, de-soldered and replaced them for under $5.00.

Bought a samsung 42' 4000

Why won't the Samsung Authorised Dealer repair the board? It's not that difficult!
There will be a power fault and the picture is not "building" properly. At worst it will be one of the memory chips.
With a reflo soldering machine, no problem.

My Samsung LNS4041DX has a hard time trying to

Replace the 4 Capacitors on the power supply board that are buldged up they are on the top right corner of the board where the ribbon jumps from the power board to the main board with ones from Jameco Part Number 606521 they worke perfect but make sure you put them in with the correct polarity easy to do just keep an eye on it. Very simple repair and took me about 30 min to take itapart solder on the new ones and put it back together all for under $10.

Takes a long time to come on

You have bad capacitors on yor power supply board. This is a common problem and can be fixed easily if you can use a soldering iron and have a Radio Shack near by. I published a tutorial on this repair in my Tips & Tricks, check it out if you want to give it a try yourself. Otherwise, you will need to contact a service repair facility and have the power supply repaired. Best wishes, I hope this was helpful.

The television turns on and

I had a similar problem with my 42 in Philips LCD HDTV.

Here was the problem. My Power Supply Board had several bad capacitors. I opened my TV (warranty was expired of course) and found four bulged capacitors on the PSB. Many major electronics companies Philips/Magnavox, Sony, Panasonic, and others were sold capacitors that failed in 2-5 years instead of 10-20. The capacitors fail prematurely due to a lack of preservatives. Unfortunately, they were installed in all sorts of devices and cause a wide range of failure problems.

Here are some options for you.

1. Have it fixed by a professional $$$$$$$??????? (Is it under warranty?)

Remember, TVs CONTAIN HIGH VOLTAGE AND CAN KILL YOU! Do this at your own risk.

2. Open your TV and find PSB. (The board that the power cord plugs into) Check for faulty caps. If you find some (bulged or leaking) bad caps replace the entire board. The entire board costs around $250 right now because they are in high demand right now. They can be found online. I would definitely shop around though.

3. Remove and then replace individual faulty caps. This takes some soldering skill.

Caps are inexpensive and if you can take care of it yourself it will save you hundreds.

This may be your problem. If you determine that it might be.

I have a Tip/How TO tutorial on this site that may also help. It gives step by step instructions for replacing caps on PSB #715t2432-2. If this is your board you are in luck. Here is the Link: Fixing the Philips Turns/shuts off on its own problem. I'm working on uploading pictures to help guide people though the process as well. Let me know if I can do anything to help.

Hope this helps and if it does please rate it accordingly. Good luck.

In the installation of the panel into it's electronics, the connection from the panel to the electronics is what is called elastomeric connectors.( a strip of a stack of conducting and nonconducting materials. I would not recommend doing yourself but, if you want to givit a go:

Slightly tighten the frame around the two lines that are out. You of course have to take the screen apart to get to that frame of elastometric clamping . The frame I speak of to tighten SLIGHTLY!!! is most likely at the face/front side of the screen.

Be very careful.

My sunsung hdtv lcd tv

I have found that the LN series of Samsung TV's have several power supply issues. Sometimes you get lucky and it is just the capacitors but other times the regulators or damper diodes fail. This isn't something I would tell you to fix on your own. These SMPS are very sensitive and if you get in the wrong area you may end up having to replace the whole board instead of repairing it.
