Samsung LN-S4041D 40 in. LCD HDTV - Page 6 Questions & Answers
Im having trouble with turning my tv on it doesnt
Sounds like there are bad capacitors on the power supply. Take the back of the TV off and in the center you will see a brown/tan board and that is the power supply. You should look for the capacitors on the top right side of the power supply and they will be the cylindrical objects and are like bulged and leaking black stuff out the top, they need to be replaced. It is a fairly simple procedure to replace for someone familiar with soldering but if you are I would suggest having a friend who is do it or take it to a local shop that can solder for u.

I have a LN_S4041K Samsung that will not turn on.
I just fixed this very same problem. It is true that the capacitors are
the problem. However, I think that if you have some minimal skills with
soldering, you can fix this yourself. You just need to take out the
system board, then the power supply parts are on the top right. The bad
capacitor(s) will be bulging at the top and possibly have some brown
stuff coming out. The ones that go bad are 1000microfarad, 10V, however
you can replace them with higher voltage. I got 35V caps from radio shack
for 1.59 each. You just need to solder out the bad ones and then put
the new ones in and solder. Remember that the negative end goes on the
side with the bold black part of the circle on the system board. Then
just cut off the extra ends of the capacitors. If you are capable of
doing this yourself, you will spend at most 6 dollars instead of
however much a technician costs.

I have a Samsung series 5 530 and the picture only
The picture size may have been changed on the remote. Try the button that says pic size or something close to that. It must have been switched to a mode which zooms in the picture. That should fix it.

Samsung lns4041d sound doesn't work
1) Check out the on screen audio setup menu to see if the spekers are set to OFF.
2) Hook up a powered PC speakers to the Audio line output RCA jacks to see if you get the sound OK to isolate the problem to be the power amp or audio processor problems.

Not available in current mode message
True that.. whatever device you have connect does not support the resolution its pushing.. You need to investigate what resolution your device is pushing try lowing the resolution to supported ranges and bingo you got a fix. You do not understand how to do that look at the user manual. Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at
