Sounds like the monitor power supply may be faulty or noisy - most probable cause is that it needs the capacitors changing. If it has an external supply try changing it as that is a cheap fix worth a gamble - if power is internal then change the monitor.

Hello,
Check for a bent pin in the VGA connector. Each color, Red, Green, and Blue has its own pin for the signal. If its pin is bent then no color!
I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

Syncmaster 930bf black screen
Hello,
its a common problem for LCD monitors after 2-3 years of use. The power supply that powers the back lights has gone out. If you can solder you should be able to do the repair yourself. The problem is caused by parts called capacitors that get over heated in the monitor case and blow out. You can go to our site at:
www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm to see what the parts look like when they blow out. Open the back of your monitor and replace all of the ones that look like the pictures. We have repair guide on the site for your model with pictures of what to do. We also have a repair kit available. If you don't want to do the repair yourself we offer a repair service for $30.00 plus return shipping. Let me know if you have any additional questions.
I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

Blinking power LED
Hello,
It sounds like you have a monitor with a common problem. After a few years some LCD monitors will
blow a power supply. The problem is caused by parts called capacitors
overheating in the confined space of he monitor. If you are good at electronics repair/soldering you can usually fix he problem. Check out a few pictures on my web site
www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm You
can take the back cover off your monitor and look for the bad
parts, replace any that look like the pictures and your monitor should
work fine. The capacitors do need to be installed with the correct + and
-connections, note the stripe on the old one and insert the new one
the same way. If you don't want to try the repair yourself we offer a repair
service for $35 plus shipping. If your problem is not the capacitors
then it would be the backlights and that is much more difficult to
replace.
I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.
