Samsung SMT-190 19" Flat Panel TFT LCD Security Monitor Questions & Answers
The monitor is currently black, power is on, I
Hello. It can be one of two things:1. A power issue2. A firmware issue1. In the first case the one thing you can do is to power off the device, unplug it, wait about 5 minutes and then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds with the cord unplugged. This way you will deplete the capacitors in the power section of the device. If that doesn't work it's most likely the internal power transformer or one of the capacitors is toasted. In this case you must go to pt. 2.2. In the second case you can't personally do anything because you must address the issue to a certified Samsung service provider in order to examine the issue and perform the firmware rewrite or the intervention needed to repair the device.Hope this helps, keep me update please,Vlad Mototolea

I turn it on and it eneates, and starts to come and then goes off?
Sounds like what we had once with our Samsung TV.40"(The TV clicked a lot and more and more often before it came on)The service man soldered in a part into the internal power supply. So you have to bring it in, I guess.Another idea: the cable is not plugged in right and came loose, so check that, on both ends.
