Inquiring Minds want to know... is your Drive FULL and how can you be sure it's not?

PLEASE review my reply! It's things you NEED to know... or, you are welcome to pay a Tech...

Many LARGER/OLDER/NEWER drives are cranked out SO quickly (larger and larger in GB) that they became almost "experimental"!

Also a NUMBER of mfg CHEAT by *super compressing files* as MUCH as possible ~ to CLAIM more drive space than there actually is. I KNOW! This is PART of the reason and need for LARGE hard drive BUFFER Memories (to assist in decompression)!

MOST compressed files NEED to be 100% OK to deliver the original info back... a few clobbered chunks/blocks and sometimes BITS of data are enough to generate error reports'... and sometimes never able to recover your original data!

Here is PART of the report from the Link:
"...on-the-fly disk compression utility works automatically without the user needing to be aware of its existence"... Of course this method SLOWS your drive down, but that's another issue.

AND MORE... it's a good idea to *always* BACKUP *everything*!

BACKUP your movie drive, then TOTALLY FORMAT it again. At this point DO NOT select the 'Quick Format' option... you want the FORMAT process to CHECK the MEDIA before it formats!

Any 'bad'/questionable/marginal areas on your drive SHOULD be (automatically) marked as 'bad'... your Drive SHOULD format around those spots! You will never see a report about them... Drives are made that way.

Of course CHECKDISK is another WONDERFUL option!

Samsung lcd monitor b2030
is the power LED actually dead?
is the screen 100% dead
is he front menu OSD button dead.
if yes, yes, yes, then the monitor is DEAD. of AC power is ok.

learn this fact all monitors before magic year 2010
are dead, due to CCFL back lamps burned out.

and will cost 2 times new, to fix it.
your manual shows year 2009
if it try to buy screen it shows me , the main board has 2 highvoltage CCFL lamp jacks.
so CCFL are dead. most are, most died in the year 2014
if run every day for 5 years, they GO DEAD.
or less if run 20 hrs /day.
if parked on shelf for 10 years, it works. see? 20,000 hours life spans.
best is to buy a 2011 and up monitor cheap even used.
with LED back lamps. and enjoy a long lived monitor.

CCFL jacks right side ! back lamps that love to die.

Your hard disk is damaged. The data you have on the hard disk could have been recovered when it started making noise. Looks like crashed heads of the disk. If it is under warantee, take it to the manufacturer for replacement.

Sometimes there's a pinhole in the cover of the CD player. A straightened paperclip can be inserted into that hole to force the door open. As you press the clip straight into the hole the door is forced outwards.

The error-code 1407 at a Mac has many sources. The most common known one is that you've tried to remove a file into the trash-can, but the file got locked by another process. Think about watching a movie, which is located at this drive, and while watching, you try to remove it.
The remedy is to first close all running programs. After this, you can retry to remove the file. If this still didn't solve the problem, please eject the drive inthe Finder-screen. remove the drive from the computer and reconnect it after a few seconds. Now it should be possible to remove this desired file.

What happens when you change the monitors to the different ports? Does the violet monitor stay violet when it is plugged into the other video port?
I am guessing that the monitor that is violet is using a VGA connection

The most common cause of a monitor displaying a pink or violet color cast is that one of the RGB conductors in the VGA cable is broken, or the plugs are not firmly seated in the sockets, leading to one color not firing on the monitor. Try a different cable. Try plugging it in with DVI instead.
