What is involved in changing bulb in my samsung

There is no lamp in a plasma TV. If you have a "blackout" display, the unit must be taken to a service center for repair. It could be as simple as a blown fuse in the power supply or as complicated as a shorted picture tube--yes, that whole display is ONE large gas-filled tube. Definitely check for warranty status on your unit. Did you buy extended warranty coverage?Have your receipt, warranty info, etc. when you take the unit in...most major suppliers can look up all the info on their computers but, if you have an extended warranty, you'll need that folder with the contract number. Hope I helped you!---Rick

Hello
You have to check the lamp inverter also. If lamp inverter transformers' winding have some trouble [even a short between adjecent winndings inside it] got a short, lamp life wont extent to its lifetime. Thit trouble may be there when you repalce the lamp before 6 months ago. Just replace the lamp inverter board also with this new bulb. Before replacing the new bulb, check your TV thoroughly by any experienced service technician. Checking and replacing the inverter board is acually a skilled work. A damaged inverter transofrmer may even make the bulb exploded. OK.

Does a bulb go dim slowly or stop working all at

It can do both, most of the time though you will find that it just goes out completely when it goes. However there are bulbs that just start to dim, it's impossible to predict which it will do, it is random really. If you have more questions please just reply here and I will help you more. Also PLEASE rate my answer 4 thumbs up, it's extremely important to me to have 4 thumbs up... I would be forever grateful if you could do this for me. Thank you! Let me know if you have more to ask.

Want to find out why the 42' samsung projection tv

The first thing to try is the bulb. If that does not fix it then it is time for a technician to figure it out.Other things it could be are the ballast, power supply board, color wheel or the DMD board; but I would try the lamp first.

Random pixels stay on

Unfortunatly this is part an parcel of modern LCD technology.these pixels are permanently stuck on or off on a particular colour. The only way to fix it is to replace the entire LCD screen and hope that it doesn't get replaced with one that has more dead pixels.
Manufacturers have a tollerance to how many they will accept as ok before they replace the product. Hopefully you can live with these pixels where they are for the life of the set! annoying but normal!
