Your problem may be a simple as paper dust.
Take all the covers off get a can of canned air and blow out everywhere you can reach especially in the areas where there are or my be sensors. Be careful not to spay to much in one place or you'll end up with condensation and then condensation problems.
Ran out of toner a week ago...stopped
Your print jobs may still be in the spooler of the printer. Check the computer (Windows 7, Start > Devices and Printers. Windows XP, the title was Printers (IIRC)). The incoming faxes will be stored in memory; it can store up to 320 pages. (If you have other faxes in memory, the number of incoming faxes that can be stored will be less. Clear the memory after replacing the toner and printing the stored jobs. Press Menu until you see Maintenance then the left and right arrow to select the item to clear. Then press Enter to clear that area. When done, press Clear/Stop.)
I hope this helps.

We had a paper jam
Hi,
The scanner lock is not due to paper jam.. There is a dedicated knob provided for lock /Unlock the scanner.
To unlock the scanner,
1)Gently pull the scan lock label until it comes away from the machine. This will pull the scanner locking switch into the FORWARD (Unlocked) position automatically.
After Unlocking press
Clear/Stop Button.
I hope this solves your problem.
Thanks
Paper jam- now says"scanner locked" help!!
Hi,
In order to exit this error checks out for a blue latch in this section. Pull it towards you. It does take a little pressure to pull. You may need to press cancel a few times. That should clear it out. If it doesn't, the scanning unit assembly needs replaced.
Let us know if you were looking for something more else please accept the suggestion.

In the print output tray there is a green lever that locks the scan bed in place. Move this lever and the problem should be resolved.
Faxes stuck in memory
The only reason they shouldn't print is due to a technical problem. There are no error messages or red lights at all?? That's very strange.
It must be a software glitch of some sort. You can do a memory clear to empty it out and perhaps restore the proper functioning, but it does set the machine right back to factory defaults, so you will have some settings to restore afterward.
You can get the manual here if you don't have it. Memory reset procedure is on page 8.2:

Go into the menu, then Maintenance, Clear Settings, and clear all settings. You will have to re-adjust everything, but this worked fine for me.
