Hi best way to check is to remove the black photoconductor and you should be able to see the little lines on it also check the the black dev/toner unit for the lines. most likely to be the black photoconductor unit though.

Printer creates 2 inch diagonal lines that

Sounds like a bad fuser belt. You can check this by removing the fusing unit. Open the front door. Unplug the connector on the upper left side. Then release the 2 green clips that are next to the blue B1 levers. Pull out the fusing unit and look at the black fuser belt. If needed you can turn the belt by turning the gear one the left side of the unit. I'm sure you wull see the same "defect" in the belt that you are seeing on your printed pages.
