I will assume brand and model listed here are correct (often are not).First place to look is the board with the flyback (typical one in attached photo) which has a semi-circle base and a number of pins---common issue on this set is one or more of those pins break loose (poor soldering) from the board.Let me know if you have questions.

Assuming the Green CRT is bad you would have to either go thru Thompson (rca-ge-proscan) or Google the model number with "green crt" to try to locate one.Why do you think Green tube is bad?

model indicated does not use a bulb, it has three picture tubes.

Could be a tuner but a simple way to find out is DIRECT ENTER with the remote (numbers) a channel and hit enter---if it goes to missing channel you can manually in the menu with the remote ADD each missing channel one at a time--tedious but will rule the tuner out.Almost every set made is able to add or delete channels one at a time.

Instead of taking the board out, I just soldered two wires to the old fl231 fuse on the underside. Installed a fuse holder with a half amp fuse. And I re-soldered all of the flyback points. My tv is working like new. thanks for everyone's help.

very easy repair on that model depending on wether the auto convergence option is still listed under the setup menu options. Let me know if its still listed and I will assist you with the issue.

The model indicated rarely has sound problems.General things to check:If using a cable or sat box is sound muted or turned way down?In set menu are speakers on or off?Some versions have a slide switch either on the back or in the menu for internal or external speakers.Does the set have sound with a DVD etc hooked to a rear input?If no sound only on a few channels SAP may be on either in the set or a box.If none of these help it has a audio circuit problem.

These are tough sets with this problem.Most sets for Convergence use a single fairly simple circuit but this one parts are spread across 3 boards--not conventional in any sense.The parts are also special---RCA only---This problem in these is so extensive all you have to do is GOOGLE the model number with "convergence" to see how common it is.These sets were so poorly made, parts and technical support does not exist that many shops (including the one I work for) resist or even refuse to fix them.

Check your screen. I have the same problem with mine. If the screen has a ripple in it, it could give the same effect.

ok, this is listed twice as a question with slightly different description.For model HD52w59 the set has a 3 strikes and you are out feature--it will try 3 times and if fails usually shut off.

If RCA--it is 3 strikes and you are out---design from them set will attempt to turn on 3 times and the go into shutdown.It means a short or problem in set--technical inspection needed.

Projection TV sets have two very common problems. One is convergence ( 3D/Warped video) the other is CRT fluid ( Dull Video). Below are more details for both items. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. This is a very common failure on these projection sets and a fairly simple DIY fix. All projection sets including Samsung, RCA, Sony, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Pioneer, Akai, GE, JVC, Toshiba, and others at some point will have the same problem. Common Symptoms include....

Revove torx screws

The lower front speaker grille will need to be removed first by removing the screws along the back edge of the rear cover as shown in the pic below. then just pop the lower speaker grille off then you will see the screws along the bottom edge of the front control panel and also on the rear edge again then that panel lifts off but you will need to reach behind as your removing it to unplug the wires that are hooked to both small circuit boards on that panel ( keyboard & aux input boards)

the flyback transformer or the Box cap CL031 is arching and will need replacement the flyback is most likley of the two. You can get flyback transformer with instructions from www.tvrepairworld.com
