Has anyone else had a serious problem with the
Same problem here - and I have read about others with this problem. Usually blamed on moisture getting into the control unit ( which is under the backmost burner knob). I did not have a spill on the cooktop, nor was I "over zealous" cleaning. Looks like a bad design. Waiting to hear from the technician how much THIS is going to cost me...

Upper oven will not heat up, broiler does not work.
Hi Larry
Use a multimeter on AC range to test for voltage on wires going to bad element.
It's probably a bad switch or open element.
Elements often unplug for replacement. Don't always show damage of burned out conductor. So... Use your multimeter on the ohms scale to test for continuity at each end.
Upper oven element is likely open circuit and will need to be replaced.
Cheers

5A6 6ATH error message
Hi and Wlecome to FixYa, I am Kelly.
This is the Sabbath mode. Why it even exists is odd in itself.
Hold CLOCK for 3 seconds to disable the Sabbath mode.
This should get it back to normal operation.
Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

I have a Maytag Gemini Precision touch 750 series
This sounds like your ignitor has gone out. The preheat will work because the valve doesn't have to ignite to heat to 100 degrees, but whent he unit is ready to ignite, the gas can't ignite it. If you will call or email us, we'll be sure to get the correct ignitor out to you asap so you have your oven orking right away! Thanksgiving is just around the corner, so I hope you get this repaired soon. We hope this helps and we hope to hear back from you soon.
