Dell cannot on, orange bling on power

Is this on the monitor on the machine itself? If it is on the dell workstation you may need to replace the Power Supply Unit (PSU). A strong indicator of this is when you go to turn on the machine the power light continuously flashes an amber color, which may appear to be orange. Let me know if that helps. How do I clean hanns.g screen?

Do NOT put any sort of cleaner directly on the monitor. If even one drip gets into the seam around the edge of the monitor, it could break and never work again. The propper way to clean an LCD or LED monitor or TV is to spray a little glass cleaner onto a paper towel, not too much, just a little, (it should feel cool or almost damp to the touch, but not feel wet or saturated) then gently wipe the screen with the paper towel, without applying too much pressure. If it drips, then you've used way too much.

I have a Hanns G Hi221 D. When it is first turned

If you have another monotor, plug it into the same computer port and see if it works.

If you have an additional computer or graphics port, try the monitor on that.

I had exactly the same symptoms and it was due to a bad graphics card.

Our Screen is three years

More likely to have caps failure in the power supply just all the rest of failed monitors as shown here: It happens to ALL BRANDS!
http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/

If you are going to DIY and already try the monitor with another PC, and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on: Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/albums/yy352/budm/ Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

I can hear the sounds for start up but the light

Try to shutdown the pc, then unplug the monitor from the power source, leave it unplugged for about 30 seconds, then plug it back, power it on and power on the pc.

If you can, try the monitor with another pc. If it works, it's a video card problem. If it doesn't work, it's the monitor proble. If you have another monitor, you can try it with you pc to solve every doubt, if it works then the monitor is dead.

Monitor all plugged in all cables fine when pc

Does your computer have more than one location where the video-cable can be connected?
If so, connect to that alternate location.

Try connecting the monitor to a laptop, to see if the laptop can send a signal to the monitor.
You might have to "toggle" the laptop (internal-screen-only / external-screen-only / both-screens)
to activate the external screen.

I cannot use the earphone

Have you connected with a 3.5mm stereo jack to 3.5mm stereo jack the audio output from your computer to the audio input of the monitor also? The audio comes out from the audio card (or motherboard), goes to the monitor and from the monitor goes either to the on screen speakers or to the headphones.

My wife went to work on the computer- then screen

Yoy see the yellow power light because it is not seeing the video signal from your PC's video card, so that can be the possible cause since you reboot the computer and you get the signal back. Your computer may need to be looked at, try reseating the video card if it is not integrated into the mother board, reset the RAM, check to see if it has any caps with bulging tops in the mother board.

Where can I get a spare video board for a HANNS.G

Due to the growing interest and public understanding in graphics cards, the market is virtually 'flooded' with hundreds of brands to choose from.
Before attempting to pick the vendor, one must decide what his needs (and desires) are, in terms of features and functionality.
Only then can one determine in what price range the wanted video board is.
With prices starting at under $150 and reaching $1500 (or even a few thousand $ for professional boards), there's a very wide range of options.
However, boards have improved so much over the last few years that entry-level products now provide all the features and performance needed for any (mainstream) application.
Though you can still buy ISA-bus video cards, the higher performance of local-bus video has made ISA obsolete. If your PC doesn't have VL-Bus or PCI slots, consider holding off on upgrading your video board until you can afford a new motherboard, too.
Though video boards are improving so fast that they sometimes become obsolete within six months of their introduction, there are three market segments with price ranges that stay relatively constant. Here's how they look currently:

Low-end video boards (under $200): These are the boards that are typically bundled with new systems. These days they use a 32-bit accelerator chip and come with 1MB of VRAM, which lets them do 8-bit color at resolutions up to 1024x768, and 24-bit color at 640x480. Unless you have special needs, this is plenty.
Midrange video boards ($200-$400): These boards are for people who have jumbo monitors or who occasionally need to do some real work in 24-bit color. Current midrange boards typically use 32- or 64-bit accelerator chips and come with 2MB of VRAM, which lets them do 8-bit color at 1280x1024 and 24-bit color at 800x600. (The cheaper end of this range includes some low-end boards configured with 2MB of VRAM.)
High-end video boards (over $400): These are boards for graphics, DTP and CAD professionals, and aren't really worth the big bucks for anyone else. Get one with sufficient VRAM to run 24-bit color at the highest resolution you want to use (3MB for 1024x768, 4MB for 1280x1024, 6MB for 1600x1200), and make sure that the board supports any color correction software you use. My monitor has a black screen with a cursor

That blinking cursor is the way in which the BIOS is telling you that Windows is missing - its most critical, core files have been corrupted beyond repair. The only thing you can do is to reinstall using the recovery cd or your own Windows install disk.

The WEP key should be entered in your router/access point. If your router came pre-configured please refer to your manual or label on the router, the default wep-key should be noted there.
Otherwise try connecting to the router the most common addresses of a router are: http://192.168.0.1 and http://192.168.1.1
