Is there a way to repair a flash on a Nikon Coolpix S6200? I have a second Nikon that was dropped and wont turn on anymore. Can i swap out the flash?

The parts are small, there are parts that store electricity and may shock you, there may be soldering required.

How do I change the F-Stop (aperture) in my Nikon D5200

If you're in manual mode, you have to press the (+/-) button and then rotate the command dial at the same time. This will allow you to lower or raise the aperture f-number.

The OK button is not working on my Nikon Coolpix S2500 any suggestions please

Hi Check for any dust or dirt that could be stuck around any of the buttons on the camera. If the camera is under the impression another button is being pressed (because of dust dirt) then the OK button will not work. If you cannot find any button that seems to be jammed then it maybe the sensor behind the OK button has failed. We hope the suggestions helps to get the camera running again

The lens cover on my Nikon Coolpix S6100 will not close completely. How do I repair?

This is a problem with many different manufacturer cameras, including Nikon. I simply don't do anything unless the blade that does not retract is interfering with a proper photograph, in which case I just open it manually with slight finger pressure. Many Canon point and shoots have legendary leaf problems, and a little pressure opens them quickly. Don't try to repair it. That's when people get into trouble. Some people suggest blowing air but most people use a spray like Dustoff which has oil in it, so I don't recommend that. If you have a quality bulb-type air blower, they are very effective. What works best for me however is a vacuum cleaner and the little attachment that is for getting between shade slats.

I get the r07 code bottom right corner. Auto focus does not work. Can you help. Nikon 3200 camera.

Likely not enough light to autofocus. Try manual focus to confirm. Can also indicate insufficient battery.

My Nikon D3200 will not focus?

Let me start with a guess. There is a diopter adjuster just behind the viewfinder. If it is adjusted way off from the correction you need, everything will look no better than out of focus though your photos may look fine. Google how to adjust the diopter setting on the D3200 and see if that won't take care of the problem. Here is one of the secrets: your camera has so many adjustments that if someone else picks up your camera, they may change a setting leaving you wondering what happened and why. Be cautious. If that guess is not the cause, let us continue. Are you saying that when you switch the lens setting from A to M, it still will not manually focus? Some of the lenses are mostly made for autofocussing, so the focus ring that you have to turn for manual focus could be narrow and out at the very front of the lens. If you cannot manually focus, something may have happened to the inner works of your lens. Try another Nikon lens to see if it will autofocus. If it does, your lens requires servicing or replacing. Good luck. Hope you get back to shooting soon.

My nikon camera is seldom use and when i try to use it again i found black shade on one side of the monitor and is becoming bigger and bigger, what causes and how to fix?

This is called "bleeding," and is unfortunately not repairable. You will have to replace the screen.

I have x on my recent photos on Nikon 5600 and it won’t let me download them to my ipad

Look to see if you have the latest app. Make sure your WiFi in camera is set to closest source. Make sure Ipad is also on same wifi setting, i now am using Nikon SnapBridge. I have the same camera and you may have to go into camera settings menu. Do not use Bluetooth, Snap Bridge is the interface. Load onto Ipad it will find your camera. b97ca12a-f130-425a-a19f-7550b513b646-phxduxalcwmxopkkgvfrtm4w-3-0.png

Why am I losing communication between corded remote shutter release and camera?

Sounds like you have a smart or programmable shutter release - so a fault could happen at either end of the cable - or the cable itself. possible causes: bad battery in the shutter release. try replacing it with a tested new one. Cable issues, though intermittent. I presume that the cable is not removable from the portion where it can be set. If you try this on another camera body and you have the same problems (and it isn't the battery), then it is either the 'brain' in the control unit or the cable - either of which means you need a new shutter release. If it works on the other camera without failure, then it is either the plug or the brain of your camera body. If this is the case, recharge your camera battery and try again. good luck.

Nikon SB 700 Problem: 'IT FIRES BUT NOT SHOWING THE RESULT PLEASE HELP TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM' ...

You did not give enough information. If the flash fires when you press the shutter button then it seems to have taken a photo. You do not tell us what happens when you press the playback button on the camera or what camera you are using with the flash.
