Hi maybe the machine did not properly empty out all the water there could be a blockage in the waste outlet pipe to check this blow down the pipe to see if its clear you'll need a little puff to do this if you cant get air through the pipe then there is a possibility that there is, or the waste water pump itself is not working clearing the water fully this will cause the machine to strike, if there is nothing stopping the water to expel, then the pump has either died or is blocked replace if necessary hope that helps a little eric

I just wanted to post because I got a used Maytag from a friend and its panel wouldn't work. There is a reset button on the underneath of the dishwasher next to the power supply on a white plastic thing. I pressed it and it washes now. it puts it at a factory mode so now I need to the panel code but at least it washes.

Put(throw) a cup vinegar into bottom on dishwasher and place a container with a cup of vinegar upright on the top rack and then run a fell cycle with no detergent or dishes(empty)

I have the same dishwasher with the same problem, try pushing the delay/resume button, then the drain/off button. When the lights go off start your wash cycle.
