The handle on my Maytag Quiet series 100
I had the same problem with my QS 100. I disconnected power first via the breaker then removed the 11 screws. I couldn't loosen the two electrical connections, but the door pulled far enough away to inspect the handle mechanism. The plastic handle fell out of whole handle assembly rather easily because two molded plastic pins protuding from either side had broken off and were loose inside. There was also a pair of molded plastic v-shaped forks right on the panel to hold the handle assembly and these were damaged but they just to seem to act as guides only (as the handle assembly is held in by two of the screws that were removed). Replacing the v-shaped forks would require a whole new door which I am NOT doing. It looks like I can a replacement handle in the same color with new pins (I am reading they may now be metal) for about ##15. Pretty easy to disassemble and inspect, only about 15 minutes.

most likely you have a bad motor when replacing the motor ihave found it is cheaper to get the pump with the motor attached where as they charge you more money for just the motor or the pump seprately try allbrands appliance parts they seem to be cheaper
Is it best to air dry or heat dry dishes in a dish
Heat dry will consume steam which is generated by heating the water inside the dishwasher. Air dry is natural but will take longer cycle time. Use rinse aid to improve air dryer and aviod water spots on glass.
NO FUNCTION/NO LIGHTS ON UNIT
This caused by a burnt out central control circuit board (CCU), this board is part of the touch pad that you press to start the washing cycle and select other functions

Maytag quiet series 200 dishwasher won't start
I had a similar problem. Turn off the power to the dishwasher. Open the door and remove the screws on the back that holds the door together. Now, locate the black control module and remove the cover. Look down at the bottom left of the control module and you should see a ribbon cable. This is the cable that connects the door keypad to the control module. Unplug the ribbon cable and the plug it back in. On my unit the ribbon cable was not making good contact and only half of the keypad was operational,
Hope This Helps !!

Not really, except making sure that the base if the inside of the machine is clean and that the inlet to the pump is clear and that all the water is pumped out after each cycle. Also make sure that the jets at the trailing edges of the rotating arms are clear of any blockage. To extend the life of you machine and avoid unnecessary work, ensure that there are no food remnants or particles on dishes and pots before placing them into the washer. Investigate any unusual noises that you may hear, this will prevent major repairs at a later stage.
Water standing in Dishwasher
Hello buzzy220,
If you have water remaining in the bottom of your dishwasher then I would check the following:
- The drain filter screen is free from food byproducts that might limit drainage.
- The drain line exiting the dishwasher itself.. is it kinked or clogged?
- If your drain line is plumbed into a garbage disposal side entry, is that clogged or your house drain clogged?
- Is your dishwasher pump contaminated with sediment or anything that would limit its ability to pump?
- Are the water lines that come into or out of the pump blocked, damaged or restricting water flow?
Those are the main reasons areas of concern to investigate.. BTW, your drain line exitting the dishwasher should be routed up high and down into your sink drain system or thru the garbage disposal tap so that you have an air gap as 20YRSEXP was inquiring about..
You can run a simple test to verify all this..
Detach your drain hose from the house drain system ( from the garbage disposer or sink drain.. then route that into a rubber barrel ( be sure to keep part of the house up around the height of the countertop when you do this.. )... You should see a fairly robust flow of drain water into it when the system functions properly.. I would encourage you to run this test with no dishes inside it,.. This test will tell you if the restriction is in the dishwasher or house drain side..
Hope this helps you..
Regards,
Rick

Hi, W/D here.
They all have adjustable feet that can adjust the height up by about 2", or so. Check your manual.
The rear feet have a linkage to the front of the machine.
Best regards, --W/D--
