Canon PIXMA MP830 All-In-One InkJet Printer - Page 7 Questions & Answers
Black line on document when I scan from platen or ADF or scan to save as PDF.
As a tech I've never seen that happen. from the doc feeder only Yes, not both the feeder and the glass but not show up when you print from the computer ?????????
For sure there is a dot or something on the small strip of glass, only when you do it from the feeder.
the reason is that the document is moving and the dot on the "small" strip of glass now looks like a line to the copier.
You said it also does it when you lay it down on the glass !!??(platen) that should of indicated the drum has a ring around it, but since it doesn't come out on the PC copy then the glass must have a line on it.
I have a canon mp830. I had the 6A00 error code.
Hi
Error 6A00
The 6A00 is a Canon generic code for paper path jam.
Solution 1:
Move the printhead carriage back and forth a few times.
Solution 2:
Check the purge unit: Moving the print head assembly will not clear a purge unit if its jammed with paper, paper clips, push pins, screws, cookie crisp, flower bud pods or the like.
Solution 3:
Press the ink pads down in the purge unit.
Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.
All The Best: Pineworks
On printer screen it is showing Error 6A00 and
In my IP 3000 during a print suddenly on the 3rd page, a big "crunch" sound. Paper was jammed - error 5100 or smthg, and managed to remove the paper... but then error 6A00 came up. I found this post and was saved. Manually moved the print head left and right, turned the printer on/off. Still the same error. Then I noticed a piece of torn paper lodged inside. Removed that, got inky fingers, and finally got printer in working condition.
Try to clean any foreign object inside.May be it can help you.
I have a canon mp830 error code 6a00.
That error means the purge assembly is jammed. Check for paper caught in the right side where the printhead parks, if all clear you will need a new purge assembly. A shop repair for sure....
Scanner not scanning right. scans in sections
You need to set the scanner to scan a standard size paper (letter or A4) in the Scan Settings dialog. To get there, from the MP Navigator select "Scan Photo/Document", then on the lower left side of the preview area click on the "Specify. ." button. Your Document Size is probably set at "Auto Detect (Multiple Documents)". Change this to the size document you are scanning and click "OK". Now you can preview and scan and not have segmented images.
Will not turn on MP830
I just had the same thing happen to me. There was a lightning storm here on Saturday night so, even though I have a surge protector, I assume that it took a surge.
HERE IS THE SOLUTION! If you unplug the printer (pull the plug!) for at least 20 minutes (which lets the system discharge)then plug it back in, the system is allowed to reset and will fire back up when you press the power button.
I know the above post is 3 weeks old, but I'm hoping this will help other searchers like me as well.
