3. Release RESUME
4. press RESUME twice, then release POWER
5. let green light blink until printhead has finished moving.
6. Select functions below with RESUME, execute with POWER
0 presses - green light - Test Print (exit service for i960)
1 press - orange light - EEPROM info print
2 presses - green light - EEPROM initialise
3 presses - orange light - reset waste ink counter.

The Canon Program "CD-Label Print" has issues with Windows 7.
I solved it this way:
- Find the "CDLabelPrint.exe" most likely under "C:\Program Files\CD-LabelPrint"
- Right-Click on the File and choose Properties
- Select "Compatibility" and tick "Run Program ... Windows XP (SP3)"
- Push "OK"
- You should be fine now
See Picture for Details.
I have just bought some
I don't understand when you say, "chip" with this printer's cartridges, there should be gold contacts instead of chip, and there's another unit called Printhead.
Try the following tips:
1. Start with printer Off
2. Hold down "Resume" and then hold down "Power"
3. Release "Resume"
4. press "Resume" twice, then release "Power"
5. let green light blink until printhead has finished moving.
6. Select functions below with "Resume", execute with "Power"
I'll post another tip, since here's word limit, I can't post the whole at one go.
My pixma ip5200r is flashing green and orange
If you still can print, it signal's low ink. If it flashes at once, as you turn on the printer and nothing's happen with the printer or no movement or unusable due to error flashing, there is an error either with your ink cartridges (need raplacement) and or hardware mechanical errors. Hope this helps.
I can't see my Canon iP5200R in windows 7 as a
There may not be a solution for this as yet because Windows 7 has not been released to the public yet.
The latest release was the RTM which was issued to manufacturers to bring their drivers up to date with it.
It's the Black Stripe thing
You need a new ink absorber kit with a guard sheet to stop ink from coming up from the bottom and getting on the exit rollers. It's a major job to remove the print engine and a messy one. Best done in repair shop..
Print out problem
Try and disconnect your printer from the power for 1 min. Plug it back in and try again please repost if further help is needed
I am re-installing my canon ip5200r printer...
http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=357&modelid=11994
Click select OS and then select your version of windows then install what pops up under drivers. This is your backup if the cd doesn't work
My printer won't print because there is more than one inktank of the same colour
There are 2 types of black cartridge, CLI-8Bk Black Ink Tank & PGI-5 Pigment Black Ink Tank. These must be installed in the correct order as below. Have you replaced a black cartridge & perhaps used a different type?

Pixma ip 5200 r -> CD Labeler Problem
After long research .... I found out that the pixma is indeed a network printer ;) .... BUT it has a printserver already build in!!!! Having 2 Servers is obviously not too good of an idea ;) ....still wonders me as to why it did work in the 1st place ..... (i guess there was something wrong with the w2k3 print server *muhaahha)
PIXMA iP5200R inkjet printer
The problem lies with in the waste ink. The way canon have designed the way for the waste ink to get absorbed in a songe, that lies next to the rollers that help the paper out of the printer.
They lie underneith the metal cover if you open the printer lid you will see it.
What happens the waste ink gets to a place where it builds up and up and up, then comes into the area where the rollers lie and so when the paper is fed out you have a black line down the back of your page.
The only way to stop it is by opening up the printer if you know how to, if you dont, dont try it. Then cleaning the roller and blocking the area where the ink is coming in.
Once all that is done you shouldnt have any problems.
Printer problem
If you have had your printer for some time, or you havent used it for along time.
What happens the heads get clogged inside. So you can do as many deep cleanings as you what and it wont help.
You have to get the heads cleaned by a printer techcian that nows how to clean them.
Be carefull thou, because if you damage the heads to replace it will cost you about the same as the printer.
CD-R tray problems
I had the same problem, canon said nothing wrong with printer, solution I found was to slightly lift the rear of the tray as it fed in, as it appeared to hit something on way in when fed by itself
