Remove the 4 screws that hold down the dispenser cover then remove the dispenser itself. You will find a yellow or green plastic string that should be close to the front,, then pull on it and open the door at the same time. If your comforter had some pieces fell off it may have got stuck in the drain pump. not letting it drain. Was the timer stuck on 7 or 9 minutes? If so there is a displacement switch inside the front cover that may have broken. Sometimes that will brake the switch when washing a heavy load. We take our comforters to the laundry mat, even we have a Neptune.

There will always be some residual water left in the outer tub after draining. This is normal for most washers. Purchase a container of Oxy-clean and cycle the washer a few times using hot water settings with a half-cup of Oxy-clean added to each cycle. Remove front panel, lay washer on side opposite the strut you are replacing, remove old strut, replace with new one.

The drain system may have a coin or similar item obstructing the flow. The pump has three impellers and one could be missing. Check the boot. Squeeze it and dump any objects in it out. Also the screens in the supply hoses may be partly plugged. The drain hose may have something in it. Make sure nothing is in it. If these things are okay, live with it.

you do know that this is the washer that put maytag out of bussiness,if you're having problems with it i wouldn't put a dime into it,replace it.

The detergent dispenser is easily replaced, simply held in place by the four corner screws which fasten the door and door frame to the washing machine. Unless the dispenser itself is cracked, your leak may actually be occurring from a loose clamp or hose attached to the dispenser. Or perhaps the leak is coming from the hoses, which are connected to the back of the machine in the same corner as the dispenser. The fill valve, to which the hoses are connected, could also be the problem. These valves are made of plastic, and can eventually crack and fail. This valve is also fairly easy to replace. If it's been awhile since your washing machine hoses were installed, I would highly recommend changing them out if/when you repair other items. Stainless steel hoses are now available, preferable to plain rubber ones, better to handle constant water pressure. Be sure to note a date on the back of your machine with a Sharpie or paint pen the date the hoses, fill valve, or other items were changed. I do this as a reminder for the fill valve, which gets eaten up by our municipal water supply about every four years.

FL is a door lock code. open the soap dispenser door, and find the thin flourescent green, or bright red color nylon cord located in the front left or right areas of the dispenser area, this will allow you to manually release the door lock. Empty the washer, close the door and perform another drain and spin cycle, if the door lock still fails, you may need to have the door lock assy replaced, especially if the door lock is making a click, or buzzing soung like it wants to operate, if it's completely quiet than you may need the board replaced...Pleazer Appliance...

The pump is partially blocked or restricted that empties the machine. There is usually an access panel so you can check for debris, buttons, coins, hairgrips etc in the pump. Be ready to catch the water if you pull off a hose.. The alternative is the pump motor is running slowly due to dry bearing or corrosion. Both could prevent the pump from fully emptying the system.

you will have to remove the door screws at the hinges, lift and remove the door off of the unit, remove the opposite screws and remove the front panel, remove the screws/clips holding the top secure at the left and right top corners, remove the 4 screws for the dispenser bezel, lift and prop the top up. The door gasket simply presses into the front palstic trim, while the rear of the gaslet is held onto the lip of the tub with a spring and wire. The spring and wire can be rolled off. the drain hose at the bottom of the boot will need to be removed too. Installing the boot is simply the reverse, but using a spring hook tool to stretch the spring to the loop of hte retaining wire.
