No error codes-washes but does not spin- water stuck in bottom

If your machine is a FAV6800A to FAV9800A here is the Service Manual.
If you lift the washer lid and rotate the wash basket CCW which is the Spin Cycle direction will it turn with very little resistance? It should not rotate CW.
With no error codes I would go to Service Mode page 14 of the Service Manual and read the current recorded Daig codes and write them down then clear the list.
Now start a Spin Only cycle with no clothes in the wash basket let it in that mode for about 5 minutes. Hit the off button to end the Spin Onlly cycle then check the Diag code block and see if an error event was logged if so please let us know.
If there is no error code generation by the Control Board in the Diag code blocks I would suspect a Control Board issue with your no Spin issue..
Without a known good Control Board and Motor Controller to swap out and no error code generation by the Control Board this would be a hard problem to troubleshoot.
The Control Board is under warranty for 5 yrs you could try Maytag Customer Service the number is in the SM and see if they will send you one even if the warranty is up…..Rich

Maytag neptune tl won't spin codes dc and uc

The clutch needle bearings may need to be lubed, this was my fix;

I just did a repair on my FAV6800AAW by lubricating the needle bearings in the clutch pulley hub, the tub displacement sensor checked OK per the service manual check. I was getting dc/uc errors in the spin cycle, washer was purchased in 7/05. I have basic mechanical skills and used a socket wrench to remove clutch pulley, just follow the service manual removal steps to remove the clutch pulley. Pull the plastic cover off the clutch pulley and inspect the spring, clean/lube needle bearings and the clutch hub coupler that drives spinner shaft. I used WD40 I may need to re-lube down the road with a good light grease. It took a few tries for me to get the clutch pulley to stay on after re-install and power up, getting the clutch pulley seated properly is the trick. I did not remove the washer tub for this fix, I believe I saw a posting where someone did. I just leaned the washer back to get a better reach angle, it is a tight work area. I did not want to junk 4 yr old $1k machine with out trying a fix. If you want to work on this model get the service manual, I found a link on this site, good luck!

I am hoping I can get an opinion of what would be the best lube to place on the needle bearings for my clutch asssembly for a Maytag Neptune. Used WD-40 last time. Guess I should have cleaned with W

wd 40 ok for freeing things but not for long term lube, use a heavy duty grease, somthing like you,d use on a car wheel bearing.

Fabric Soft and Bleach despenser on MAYTAG TL

I'll see if I can help. Can you just clarify if by won't drain. Does it look like no water flow is flushing the the Bleach and Fabric Softener dispensers?

The Fabric Softener dispenser could be clogged but I suspect the dispenser’s valves are not opening to flush the dispenser’s. If the Fabric Softener dispenser is clogged you can flush with White Vinegar solution and clean exit port with a pipe cleaner. I do not suspect a clog with the Bleach dispenser.

You could go into Service Mode and turn on the water valves for the dispensers to check if water is sent to the dispensers.

If you have no water flow to the Softener dispenser here is the non technical troubleshooting I would take. Go into Service Mode (page 14 of the Service manual) by Pressing Enviro Plus and Spin Only keys (simultaneously) for three seconds or until the console beeps.

Now go to page 16 to Service Manual and enter Board Output Test by pressing the Delicates key. This will lock the lid. Now press the Wrinkle Control Key Pad on the console. The Control Board will send 120VAC to the bleach dispenser water valve. Did you hear the Solenoid hum? If so and you have no water flow diverted to the Softener dispenser the solenoid valve may be stuck closed. If you did not hear the solenoid valve hum the solenoid field coil may be open. Do the same process for the Bleach dispenser water valve with Bulky Items Key Pad.

Final technical troubleshooting as a technical owner of the machine would be to take my DVM and verify 120VAC from the Control Board to the Bleach/Fabric Softener dispenser valves.

See page 36 lower left hand corner is the Bleach/Softener dispenser valve.

Here is the Service Manual for reference. Sears Parts Direct for reference.

The Part Number for the Dispenser Valve is 25001043 you can order from this site or search the internet for best price.

Good luck…….Rich

If this is confirmed then you have to replace the controller unit. But since none of the symtoms were mentioned and if the there is no action or output from the controller you must replace the unit.

Unit displays 24 minutes remaining for hours. I

If your observation was more specific it would have helped. If the controller board is not indicating the right time nor that the cycle time is too extended, then it is possible that the controller unit is a suspect. Remove the panel , check for dirt or moisture trapped in the epoxy, clean and reset all connections . if this wont solve the unit can be a suspect.

Need acc96us1 op manual

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Unfortunately FixYa cannot provide manuals direct - members of the forum are just people from all over the world, probably working from home, and not representing any particular manufacturer ;-0)

Manual
You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make model number) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount.
You could also try the manufacturer's web site direct ;-0)

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

WE have a Maytag Neptune

Katie, I'm and owner that knows the machine very well. If you are someone has some basic skills you can repair the machine. It will come down to how much down time you can tolerate. What I think is the issue is that the Upper One-Way bearing is seized and when the machine enters into spin cycle of the selected wash cycle the washer can't spin the wash basket. The Control Board tries to enter the spin cycle over and over again. There is no software routine in the Control Board to sense this and the machine keeps trying execute the spin cycle of that wash cycle......Timer never counts down..... Place that wash load in a Spin Only cycle. If my diagnosis is correct then the machine will do the same thing never count down on the LED display in the Spin Only cycle. All these machine are ready for a Tub Seal replacement and I can direct most owners thru the process. The cost is in the area of $60 for Tub Seal, ****** O-Ring and Outer Tub bearings. If you need to replace the Clutch Pulley around $80 additional. If you are the original owner I'm sure you have been thru that. Here is a link to replacing the Tub Seal and Outer Tub bearings. See if this is a direction you want to go. FAV6800A/FAV9800A Outer Tub bearing replacement

Here is a link to what I believe is your issue.........it just took me a long time to extract info from the owner on the failure. [FIXED] Maytag Neptune, Timer Problem Maybe a FIXYA tech can jump in and add what they think might be the issue and a troubleshooting/repair path to follow. You can make the machine last for a long time............way beyond the 3.5 yr. to 6 yr. point of most failures.........but each owner has to decide their course of action. I go by dh1200s on most washer DIY forums including this forum.

I have a Neptune TL

Hello
Do not adjust the pressure switch, it takes special calibration gear to set it up, so the only thing to do here is replace it. Make sure the tube to the switch is clear before you replace it, if that checks ok replace the switch Assembly
