Coins stuck in drain
It is a common fault that the drain fails to work in
most machines in a period of time and is the most problematic fault in a
washing machine. In all occasions it is important that your observation is most
important and so is vital to the identification /rectification and solution. If
you have noticed that water has leaked then as the drain hose pump/valve and
fittings are located on the underside of the machine it is important that you
look for possible leaks here. In some cases the drain hose would be clogged at
the drain end to outlet of the house and so there will be back flushing
resulting in overflow to the outside. Also the drain pump/valve can be clogged.
Now remove the drain hose clamps and remove the drain pump/valve, clean the
drain pump/valve, use back flushing to clear off all dirt. Now test using power
to see if this works and can be simulated. When refitting, the hose must be tightened
properly. If the pump/valve does not work even with power then it must be
replaced. If there is intermittent power
to the drain valve/pump then the program controller unit is a suspect.

Finally the washer must be placed with a tilt- use a
spirit level- so that all water will drain to the outlet port and thereby there
is no residual water remaining.

I am getting error code...NF
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. Error NF
means No Fill. The washer has tried to fill but was unsuccessful. NF indicates
No Flow. There is something that is interrupting the inbound flow
of water to the washer, either hot or cold. Sometimes this happens
when water service in the area is interrupted, creating an air pocket that
causing the water valve not to sense water.
Try running the diagnostic test by—
- Press
the delicates and heavy soil keys together for 3 seconds.
- You
are in the service mode.
- Now,
press wrinkle free key, cold water should start entering.
- Then,
press the cotton sturdy and hot water should flow.
- To
exit the test mode, either unplug the machine or press the delicate and
heavy soil again for 3 seconds.
Please do rate the solution if the
issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
Thanks

Maytage Neptune TL gives od
Could be loss of signaling thru the left hand Lid lock;
Google "Sticky Neptune TL Washer FAV6800AWW" for the Service Manual and support for troubleshooting the OD error code.
Getting error code LR
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. Lr means locked rotor, this issue occurs due to locked rotors, you'll need to check the rotor wiring and windings. If the wiring is good and windings are not burnt then you'll need to replace your motor and motor control board. These are sold as one unit, it is a 3 phase motor and one of the phases is bad. A little power surge can damage the boards. Please rate the solution if the issue is resolved else post a comment for further assistance.
Thanks

OP display light comes on when hitting start. Then hit off & in a minute it comes on?
Most times this issue is caused by loss of signaling thru the Left Hand Lid Lock.1st check for a Lid Magnet out of position. This is an easy check if you have a couple key holder magnets or a similar magnet that you can place over the Left side grey lid bumper. Let's see if you can close the Magnetic Reed Relay switch with an external magnet and send +12VDC up to the Control Board and clear the "OP" error code.If that doesn't clear the "OP" error code we will need to remove the Left Hand Lid Lock and check to see if corrosion is part of the issue. Because of its proximity to that nasty bleach dispenser it will cause issues.
Here is the lid lock to order. Here is a picture of a bad lid lock.
Troubleshooting manual
You can release the washer top from the base with a putty knife

Maytag FAV6800 AWW transmission?
the noise is more than likely coming from the clutch as you correctly surmised that the transmission only functions the paddles. As far as the airplane sound during the spin cycle well that is a bearing issue also called the "spinner support". I would be very careful attempting to replace this part yourself as doing it wrong results in a very leaky washer. The clutch runs about $150 while the spinner support runs about $250 so even though the diagnosis of the tech was clearly wrong (transmissions are relatively cheap and are fairly easy to put into these machine) it still might not be worth the money. Maytag did extend warranties on clutches for very specific models but it only covered the part and not the labor so you may still wind up with an expensive bill. I hope this helped.
Clutch
FL means that you have a failed door lock assembly. You'll need to order and replace the door lock in order to correct the issue. Here is the part to order.
