I have the coad pf

From the Service Manual for the FAV6800A/FAV9800A page 13 Google ""16022808.pdf"" to find. PF = Power failure: Power to the machine has been lost during the last cycle. This may also occur on start up of a new machine due to factory testing. Check the lid. Press any key to return the display to normal activity. I know....... real vauge........ Have recycled 120VAC power to the machine? If that bought no joy I would get into Service Mode and see if we can do some basic diagnosis. This is the 1st PF error code I have seen on any forum. I own the machine and have repaired a few from Outer Tub bearing rebuilds to troubleshooting Console Control board issues. I

What does error message "DC" mean - the washer is

Your experiencing symptoms of clutch malfunction with the FAV6800AW. Do you want to dive in and try to fix? Here is what is involved to pull the clutch out of your machine. Also read the last couple of post in this forum. If you call a repair service in your are looking at $300 +. If you can DIY the repair cost could be from $10 dollars if you just need a roller clutch clean up and re-lube to $50 -140 for a replacement clutch. I'm cheap and would go for the $50 Clutch.
What is the serial number of your machine? Just need the first two digits i.e. 10, 12, 14, 16. This info is located on the top right back side of the console.

Next comment will be the clutch removal process, this board has message limits.

Yes the Tub Seal has failed and contimanted the Clutch Pulley.

One-Way bearings in the Clutch Pulley have failed to lock up in Spin Cycle causing tumbler movement to throw the wash load of ballance. This issues causes big time DC and UC unbalance errors.

Need acc96us1 op manual

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Unfortunately FixYa cannot provide manuals direct - members of the forum are just people from all over the world, probably working from home, and not representing any particular manufacturer ;-0)

Manual
You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make model number) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount.
You could also try the manufacturer's web site direct ;-0)

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!

Need to reset the program

""need to reset the program of our maytage neptune TL ver: FAV6800AWQ ""

The only hard reset to the Control Board is to unplug your FAV6800A from the 120VAC service outlet then reconnect.

I feel this will not clear your machine issue. What do you mean by reset the program of our maytage neptune TL?

Machine is stuck on 23

Hello,

There are several reasons that a washing machine won't drain or spin. The causecould be something as easy as a clog or something difficult that will need alicensed repairman. Start with the simplest possible cause and work down to themore difficult causes.

ChallengingInstructions And Things You'll Need:
  • Screwdriver,Flashlight,Voltmeter,Wrenches,Bucket,Rags or mop.
  1. A washing machine won't spin if the water can't drain. Check hoses for any kinks or clogs that may prevent the water from draining. If a hose has kinks, try to straighten out the kinked hose. If it can't be straighten sufficiently, replace the hose. If hoses are not kinked, check for clogged hoses. This can be done by using the screwdrivers to remove the hoses and looking for clogs or running a water hose through the clogged hose to remove the clog. Use the rags and bucket to clean up the water that comes out of the hoses when they are disconnected. Once the clog is cleared, put the drain hose back into place. The washer should drain and spin now if a clogged or kinked hose was the problem.
  2. If the washer still won't drain or spin, check to see if the lid is not closing all the way or if the lid switch is not clicking into place. Close the lid and make sure that it closes all the way down. When the lid closes, the lid switch should click. If there is no clicking sound, then the switch may need to be replaced. Follow manufacturer's directions for replacing the switch. If the lid does not close all the way, visually check for signs that the lid is bent. If bent, try to bend it back into place.
  3. Loose or broken belts could also prevent a washing machine from draining or spinning. Pull the washer away from the wall and, using the screwdrivers and wrenches, remove the back panel. Using the flashlight, visually check for any broken or loose belts. Replace any broken or loose belts. Although replacing washing machine belts is difficult, anyone who has replaced belts on a car , lawn mower or even a bicycle chain should be able to accomplish the task.
  4. Another possibility for a washing machine to not spin or drain is the pump. With the back panel still off the washer, check the pump with the voltmeter to ensure that the pump is getting power. If the washer is getting power, turn on the washer and listen to find out if the pump is running but the water is still not draining. It may be necessary to remove the pump and clean it or to replace the pump with a new one. Once the pump is replaced, turn on the washer to determine if it will now drain and spin.
  5. If all of the above steps fail to produce a washing machine that drains or spins, then it is time to call a professional repairman. Use the screwdrivers and wrenches to replace the panel on the washer and push it back against the wall..
Thanks and thanks for visit good luck.

The op code keep coming

The "OP" code indicates the lid is open. It needs to be fully closed before starting the cycle.

The "reed switch", is actually a term that is used because the lock or switch is reading off of a magnet.

For your appliance, you have two locks. One on the right hand side(part number 25001037) and one on the left hand side(part number 25001048).

It's a long post it was difficult for me to pull accurate info from the owner for the issue. Fo him the Upper One-Way bearing on his machine was seized. Kris,

This forum is hard for me to work on no editing feature and no way to search previous post. I don't like working in this forum but this caught my eye""? Iam a do it myself type of person so id rather not pay someone to do it if its something i can fix on my own"" my kind of owner.

Do you have the FAV6800A/FAV9800A Service manual? If not google this and download the SM.

16022808.pdf the first Google hit will take you to the Service Manual it's handy if you are going to keep the machine and want to save yourself $$$ with DIY work.

We need to do some basic troubleshooting do you have DVM - Digital Volt Meter? We would need to go up to the Control Board and measure +12VDC onm the Control Board as a start point. I feel this could be an issue with the +12VDC being pulled down by possible corrision issues at the TDS - Tub Displacement Sensor..........bur we need to troubleshoot. Pic below of how I will have you measure +12VDC on the main Control Board in the Console.

Post your issue as a new issue on the Maytag forum not the blog Google this ""Maytag/Magic Chef/Admiral/Jenn-Air"" There is also a stick in that forum for the FAV9800A machine. I post as dh1200s on that forum and other DIY forums.

If you want to proceed see ya at the ""Maytag/Magic Chef/Admiral/Jenn-Air"" forum.......Rich I go by D*ick but this forum blanks out my nick name ****
