Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7 Digital Camera - Page 4 Questions & Answers
I lost my cd rom to my camera is there a web site where i can get a copy for camera
You don't need any special software in order to use your camera. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what said first, you can use any photo cataloging program such as
Picasa.

Look, there are numerous problems that crop up when you try to download pics using a cable. That's why pros never even try...they always use a separate card reader. They are inexpensive. Quit delaying the inevitable and go get one.

My panasonic camera DMC-F27 is showing "memory
Hi pblac11,
This could be a problem with the format of the memory card , or the memory card is not formatted as per the requirements of your camera.
I would give you a way out to try and see if it works , as I have been through this problem myself too.
Using a card reader device , connect your memory card to your computer and make sure it gets detected in your computer.
In case you are using windows xp , vista or windows 7 , you will find the removable drive relevant to your memory card being detected.
Now all you have to do is try and format the card in a mode that is different than the current one.
For e.g if your memory card has been formatted by NTFS file system , then try changing the format to the FAT32 file system.
and if it's FAT32 already , try formatting the card with the NTFS system and then try and insert the card in your camera after it has been formatted successfully.
The above solution has helped me , hope it helps you as well..:)
Your feed back would be appreciated.

Is this the first time you are trying to do this? it isn't possible to just pull out the card.
you have to press down on the card and then release it. Then the card will just pop out like toast from a pop-up toaster!

Look at the memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.
