How do i get the date stamped on the pictures from my panasonic lumix dmc-fz7

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Camera wont turn on after charging the battery

Bruce, you didn't provide a lot of information but I can tell you that the few times this has ever happened on my Nikon D-90, the battery did not charge, would not charge and I had to throw it away, or it was a charger problem. I've had it happen when I tried to charge it on my corded Nikon Charger and I never got a charging complete indication after charging over night. When I put it in the camera, the camera indicated it was not charged even though the charger indicated it was charging. But, when I put it on a travel charger, it charged in about an hour and worked fine. The next time I put it on the Nikon charger, it worked fine. I suggest you verify that the battery is good and charged or capable of charging. If it is, then check to make sure the battery contacts are clean both on the battery and in the camera. If the contacts are clean and you're sure the battery is good and charged, I'd say the next step is to contact Canon. I've heard their customer service is very good.

How do i download software onto my camera

If the camera should enter a software problem, it would give an error on the display. If it is something Panasonic knew about, they would offer all registered users a firmware update. The update comes with a good instruction how to do the update. But I'm sure there will be nothing wrong with the software that is in your camera.

Camera wont turn on after charging battery

Always be sure the battery is charged and suited for your camera. Check contacts of the battery and in the battery compartment of your camera. Dirty or oxidised contacts can be cleaned with a dry cloth, Or a cotton swap. Never use sharp tools to clean contacts or anything in or on your camera. Always charge the battery before using it for the first time, or if you have not used it for a long period. 3 months is a very long period. Also check if the battery door is closed correct. Most cameras do have a switch connected to the battery door. If the switch does not work correct, it could be you can't switch on your camera. If you have a multi meter, you can check your battery. After charging the voltage should be higher (few tenths of a volt) than the voltage printed on the battery. If the voltage is slightly lower, you know there will be not enough left when the battery needs to deliver some power.

Just bought camera 2 months ago. Now I can't zoom or select anything

It is difficult to diagnose a problem without more details than you provided. However, based on what you said, I would first replace the batteries in the camera...especially if the camera has been left on for a long period of time.

Did you press the AF / MF button on top of the camera. Just a little to the right of the main dial? Try pressing it again. Let me know if it helped. Success

"Reset file No." is the reset for the numbering system on your file folders only. You want to use just "Reset" which will reset the entire camera back to factory settings.

Download pictures onto computer

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).
