Panasonic Lumix System Error (zoom)
Hello
The problem is that the lens has become stuck in the barrel. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the
probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.
Use
these at own risk as it may further damage the camera.
Firstly ,
try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable.
Try holding the
shutter button while switching on the camera.
Look at the lens ,
and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then
try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down).
Try gently
pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may
cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.
Another
way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and
then power it up. Be sure to use a soft cloth or something similar as to
not scratch your lens or casing. Let the lens push the camera up and
down a few times and sometimes the little resistance provided by the
camera is enough to get things going again.
Try hitting your
camera near the lens on the body with the soft tissue on the palm of
your hand.
Other than that , I would take the camera to a repair
center for a evaluation to see if it would cost more to repair than to
replace the camera.
If it is still under warranty I would suggest
you take it in before trying any of these steps and remove any
off-brand batteries or accessories as some stores are really fussy about
warranty repairs on camera's with non-brand accessories.
You can also have a look at THIS link.
Hope
the advise is useful. please do not hesitate to let me know if you need
any further assistance. Also, please be so kind to let me know if you
found this helpful.
Regards
Andrea

I can't find how to reset my Lumix DMC_TZ1 to factory specs.
Enter the SETUP menu and select RESET. You'll be prompted to reset two sections. Answer YES to both and everything that can be set to default will go back to the factory default state.

when I charged my battery for lumix camera charger light just flashes green and when I insert in camera it does not function yet it does with spare battery. Does this mean that the battery is no good now?
I had a blinking green light on the charger when I would put the battery on the charger. I noticed some black buildup on the prongs of the battery and scrapped it off and now the battery charger is displaying solid green. It may end up being a quick fix considering my equipment came from ebay and already had some light wear and tear

Do you know where i can download the above software for my camera??
I have this camera, but installation CD with Photo Fun Studio viewer is lost. But I need Photo Fun Studio viewer. Where I can download this software.
my disc with simple wiewer installation software is damaged and I am looking for downloads.
I have a Panasonic DMC-TC1 camera and somehow the Software to download the photos to my PC has been deleted. How can I get a Free download of this program so I can download my photos.
If you google your camera model, you will find a location to download software for this camera. The Panasonic Support site is a good starting place..
Kodak has a free photo viewing an touchup software downloadable so you will use their printing service. Another is Picaso by Adobe. Both of these are easier and better than those supplied with camersa. Even Microsoft XP or Vista computer come with a good viewer. Go to Start/Programs/Microsoft Viewer(or some such).

Hey Bogdan are you speaking romanian ? Please told me what to do to have the original settings (factory settings or the best optimal settings) for Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ 1 I mean without performing any changes in menu features regarding light, focus, distance, ISO's , All I need is the optimal settings for automatic option, just taking the camera and ....shoot the shuter. thank you so much in advance.
For a factory reset:
Turn on the camera, push the menu button, push left, down and then right.
You are now on SETUP menu.
Scroll up to the RESET option, push right and then answer YES two times.

My Panasonic camera is exactly one year old and has worked fine until yesterday. I started out with a full battery, used it a few times during the day to shoot about a dozen photos. When I tried to review the photos that night, the camera wouldn't power up. I've tried charging the battery, but no luck. I tested the battery with a voltmeter and it reads 4.15 volts (+ and - terminals or + and T terminals) so the battery appears fine. Is there any reset function not listed in the owner's manual?
Hi, I am having the same problem, have you found a fix to the problem? Tks, Johnny

Have DMC-FX3 (2.5 yrs.), after every pic I shoot, this message is displayed: PLEASE TURN CAMERA OFF THEN ON AGAIN. I contacted customer support, they replied, "Remove battery for 5 mins." I removed it for 20+ min, reinserted it, but same message appeared PLEASE TURN CAMERA OFF THEN ON AGAIN.
Can anyone help? Thank you
Sometimes this message appears when force has been applied to the lens. Here are some things to try. Go into the setup menu and find "reset" to reset the camera. If that doesn't work, remove the card and battery...press all the buttons...insert the card and then the battery. You may have a lens problem that can only be repaired at a service facility.

I have a Lumix DMC-TZ1. I have had it about 17 months and was very pleased with it, but now all I can get on the screen is "Built-in memory full". It does not recognise the SD card, and I am unable to use it! Any suggestions as to how I can get it up and running again?
First, determine if any of the pics on the internal memory are important...if so, download them first. Then, with no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, if the memory card contains any important pics, download them using a card reader if necessary. Then, insert the card into the camera and do the "format" thing again. Now, you should be ok.

Help please... I have this camera that always have a message says "memory card error please check the card", I check the white tab on the card and it is unlocked and I tried another card. It never seem to work could some one help me?
What type and size memory cards? The DMC-TZ1 works with SD cards 2GB and smaller. It will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.
